Going to get fondled this time?
There was a very good in-character reason for that. It most certainly wasn't just because I wanted to screw with Tiruin's character.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

We had a long discussion afterwards. Caellath won, of course..., but yes. It was...IC. :P

Poor memory, Tiruin. You won. In fact, Caellath groped you right before he died.

And I thought you chose Cleric just so you could worship your previous character, who is now a goddess. Disappointing, disappointing...

I'd like to join. Sounds violent.

Spoiler: Ythrin (click to show/hide)

Good enough? I could add more if you wish.

Yay, another victim! Two more and I'll start making the character ability sheets.

Finished my sheet-

Wow you're telepathic. Who knew you were reading what I had planned when I had posted for the first time?

Worshiping yourself is just too awesome to refuse.

 Character sheets:

Tiruin: You want to use a bow? That's unusual for a Cleric class, but I will allow it just because it makes sense knowing what happened in the first game.

Caellath: A medieval Kiritsugu Emiya? An archer? Typical Caellath. I approve.

((Clerics speak of the clergy, as we're in a fantasy setting - anything can happen.

What's wrong with using a bow? D: It's not like we're playing by stereotype and clerics will use 'blunt' weaponry, eh? I never got that idea. :P))

Not playing by stereotype. "Cleric" was just supposed to be something like a D&D Paladin - a melee fighter capable of buffing and healing himself. Which is why using a bow changes the way I have to think of the class.

Also, the stereotype of "clerics = blunt weapons" comes from the idea that you can more easily disable an enemy without killing him when you use a mace or warhammer, as opposed to a sword or axe. "Do no harm" and such. Funny, no?

((Anyone who has used blunt weapons in battle can easily attest to the fact that disabling can be worse in the long run - maiming a foe by breaking bones or destroying nerves. Though, blunt weapons specialize in such, though 'edged' weapons can easily do the same.

Like in Arnis... -_-  My poor wrists...Anyway, yep! ))

((The stereotype is also a nod to real-world Christian (specifically, Catholic) clergymen, who purportedly had a bit of a taboo against drawing blood. So they burned people at the stake instead, taking the rule very literally. Same goes with blunt weaponry. Not saying that's a perfect or even minimally accurate reflection of history, but it explains the stereotype.

I do love me some blunt weapons, though. I especially like the fact that they are more effective against heavy armor than bladed weapons.))

((Blunt weapons still draw blood. :P

Also, onward with the OOC! There is no In-thread IC! :P))

Yes, there is no in-thread IC. Also I've started making the character sheets. Everyone will be overpowered for balance. Or something. That's how I balance all of my games. Seriously, you have no idea.

((Well, yes, and I'm sure clergymen had entirely different reasons for burning people at the stake, such as the fire's purifying nature or something. Not all stereotypes, particularly fantasy stereotypes, make sense is what I'm trying to say. Especially in AD&D, what with the absolutely racist race-class restrictions and being disallowed from wielding blunt weapons as a cleric even if you serve an EVIL GOD.))
