Sona hesitates for a moment, looking down like she doesn't know whether to trust Diaena. Then she looks up at Diaena.
"It's Adrian. I worry about him sometimes."

Allie walks back in with two more chairs. She's very fast at carpentry.
"Who's Adrian?"

She reaches over, touching Sona's hand. This time, her voice would be directly heard by Sona, only.

The medic turns his head to her and sighs. "First and my last until now. I met her in one of the villages in the region I lived, and she was trying to help people there as well. We talked for long hours, she seemed like a good person and we actually travelled together; and since she was an apothecary, she helped me..."

He rests his head on his arms and continues. "You see, I only saw her as a friend and a partner in my job, nothing else, and it was also supposed to be temporary - only until our paths parted. But she saw more in me, and she started to show it through her actions. Even though I wasn't exactly interested in her, I decided to give her a chance, to get to know her better instead of simply shooting her down. So we became a little more than friends, although I was still reticent."
