Adrian lowers his rifle with a sigh.
I'd hoped this would be nice and calm. Not with these people.

At least 12 of the 6 legged bugs Come out of nowhere, followed by 4 scorpion looking ones, and finally 2 bipedal bugs, which have a strange sort of growth on their arms. They screech, and the bugs begin to attack. The small ones launching small needles at the group, the Scorpions spraying a greyish liquid, causing the ground to steam, and the bipeds launching a few bursts of flame from the growths.

The Crystals spin harder, and glow even brighter as Maria's body attempts to bring her back in...

Lucas draws his blade, and the shadows follow suit. The Lizard pulls out twin shortswords, the bug has bones extend from its arms, the human takes out a sword and shield. The Crystal being's arms extend, becoming more sharp. It charges first, slicing and launching small sprays of shadowy Crystal at him. The Lizard disappears, it seems, and it reappears behind Lucas. The bug goes straight on slicing and stabbing, like a feral beast, while the Human shadow stands guard at the door.

Well, it's not like Maria's body gets tired. It's gonna keep doing it.

In the meantime, Maria is free to both slash and chant away, using her sword one-handed and singing her little song of death as she ducks and weaves between the attacks. She seems to be enjoying this combat style immensely.

Allie hacks at the bugs with her axes.

Adrian raises his hand and the drones pop from his back, each of their lasers beeping as they engage. Both him and the drones concentrate fire on a Scorpion.

[OREOSOME]

The Scorpion that Tyrion fires on ends up spilling the liquid on 3 of the small ones as it dies, while Allie chops up some of the small ones, which believe that 'SWARM THEM!' is a good strategy. 2 more Scorpions are killed off by Maria. The bipeds fall back, as the last Scorpion covers their retreat. As the other bugs die, however, the remaining ones become a bit more sloppy and less thought out in their actions. Also, as they die, the bugs seem to disintegrate into a dark black powder.

The Crystal keeps spinning.

Lucas is getting his ass handed to him by the shadow things. However, he is able to trick the Bug into attacking the Lizard when it Charges, incapacitating them both. The Crystal one seems to... nod at Lucas, and proceeds to handle him one on one. The Human one appears to be doing... something, to the door.
"Agh! Just. Die, Already!"
~Ah... But where would the honor be in that? If I were to just fall right now, there would be no Sport, to it, now would there?~

Adrian looks around.
"That was random."

Spinny Crystal vs. Robot Crusader! Who will win?!?

...Not much of interest happening. Camille is watching Davi and Natasha chat.

Maria avoids the black powder to at least some extent and continues to chant and slice away the remaining insects, mostly chanting since they're running away. SHe stops when they fall out of range, and sighs.

"Indeed it was."

James slashes at the remaining bugs within reach, keeping his revolver in his other hand as a precaution.

Adrian continues onward, ever watchful for any more hostiles.

Lucas Begins to duel the Crystal shadow thing, as the Lizard and bug finish eachother off. As that happens, the biped bugs in the prefab town die immediately.

As the group continues through the town, the mountain seems to get no closer, until they reach the end of the road, when the mountain suddenly just seems to be right next to them, when less then 50 feet before it looked like it was 3 miles away. they are now in front of the complex that lucas entered before. The entrance to the old temple is blocked by debris. The group will need to go through the newer construction.

Maria follows Tyrion's example. And follows him, for that matter.

Or Adrian, whichever you want to call him.

"I'll look for a rear entrance."

Adrian starts up his rockets, then fires them at a hover, slowly increasing his height until he can see the entire construction at once.

She stretches out.

"Think they'll be alrrright?"
