Maria giggles. "Nope, I doubt it. Unless the words happened to be magically persuasive or something along those lines. Besides, we don't need any heroes here, right?"

"Maybe. Maybe that's why this place is so... awful. It needs heroes."

"The torikan woman is apparently not so knocked out..." Barth says, motioning Ke to come closer as he shifts his gaze to look into Bryan's eyes.

"Bryan?"

Tyrion approaches Barth as he walks inside. He shakes his head.
" I heard what you were saying to her. And I've tried that before. Doesn't work too well. She's stubborn and idealist. A bad combination of traits, if you ask me."

"Ever tried to slap her awake?" Barth asks, dead serious. "Life is harsh. You can have a positive outlook on it, but you can't be dreamy."

"Tried it. Tried everything. It's going to take something seriously bad to change her. I'm afraid of what that may entail."

Bartholomew takes another look outside. "...I think Kwykathen is awake."

Maria smiles and pulls away, turning Sona towards her.

"If that's really the case, then you can just sit tight and leave the heavy duty work to me."

She grinned and snapped out a salute (albeit probably an unfamiliar one).

"I am a Knight Hospitallar, after all! It's sort of my job to be a hero. Defend the sick and the weak and all that."

[Cassandra]

She slithers over to Barth, coughing slightly. Splattering the medic with blood.

Bartholomew turns to her with a worried expression. "Ke, are you fine? You should turn back if this form takes too much of a toll on you."

Bartholomew takes another look outside. "...I think Kwy is awake."

Tyrion takes a look outside as well.
"You and Ke go inside. I'll handle this. I want as little collateral as possible."
Tyrion taps him on the shoulder facing outside.
"Go."

Maria smiles and pulls away, turning Sona towards her.

She nods, and turns back quickly enough. She's covered in light cuts, but otherwise fine.

Bartholomew brushes his hands over her cuts and starts to tend to them. "I was worried, you know." he says, passing a bit of cotton drenched in a odorless liquid over her cuts.

Sona gives a small smile.
"Yeah. I guess."

"You should avoid combat like I do, although your talents are actually good for subduing someone."

Maria chuckles.

"Although, I could have sworn there was a way to make these boots deploy spikes to anchor into the ground, if you really don't want to be moved... That would have been nice to have back there."

She looks down at her rather hefty steel boots, examining them for a mechanism.

Kwykathen tries to get up, groaning in pain.

"I've seem some scary shit, but that kind of tops it all."

"But it's my fault f-... There's no way I'm going to be able to convince you that this isn't your fault, is there?"

Kwykathen tries to get up, groaning in pain.

"I've seem some scary shit, but that kind of tops it all."

Sona sobers up, turns around and looks at Kwy.
"..."

Tyrion looks at Bryan.
"Sorry about that. She's... really nice, but kind of unstable."

She sits patiently as her master tends to her injuries.

Maria scowls and hugs Sona again, putting herself between Sona and Kwy in the process.
"Hating yourself is as much a sin as hating others, you know. Just please lighten up a bit, okay?"
