Bryan looks visibly shaken by what just happened. He opens and closes his mouth repeatedly.

Sona looks at him and kneels to his level, like a concerned parent. She gives a sympathetic frown.
"You okay?"

Barth runs over to Bryan with a worried expression. "Bryan? Are you fine?"

Bryan just continues opening and closing his mouth, looking very, very shocked.

Kwykathen twitches slightly.

Sona continues looking into his eyes, then suddenly stands up and scowls.
"I always do this."
She walks for the door, pushing it open, then closing it as quietly as she can.

Maria blinks, then follows Sona out the door.

And starts clapping.

"That was brilliant,by the way. Just thought I should let you know. I wasn't sure I'd ever witness someone restrain that monster of a woman."

He sighs and enters the hive.

Maria blinks, then follows Sona out the door.

And starts clapping.

"That was brilliant,by the way. Just thought I should let you know. I wasn't sure I'd ever witness someone restrain that monster of a woman."

Sona doesn't turn around while speaking, just gazes wistfully into the forest.
"No, no, no. It wasn't brilliant. It wasn't even good. Brilliant would be talking her down. Brilliant would be making her stop without hurting her. I am not brilliant. I am an idiot with power.."

Barth sighs as he carries Bryan inside. "Some peope can't be talked down. You aren't able to convince a drunken man with a club to give up on taking away your valuables, for example."

Sona quickly finds herself getting a surprise hug.

"Oh, you really are a fool. I haven't been here much longer than yourself, but I don't remember anyone convincing that woman to do anything with words. Ever. Although she was once stopped from murdering us by her hangover, but that was different."

Kwykathen twitches again.

Barth sighs as he carries Bryan inside. "Some peope can't be talked down. You aren't able to convince a drunken man with a knife to give up on taking away your valuables, for example."

Sona doesn't respond, just continues watching the treeline.

Tyrion approaches Barth as he walks inside. He shakes his head.
" I heard what you were saying to her. And I've tried that before. Doesn't work too well. She's stubborn and idealist. A bad combination of traits, if you ask me."

Sona quickly finds herself getting a surprise hug.

"Oh, you really are a fool. I haven't been here much longer than yourself, but I don't remember anyone convincing that woman to do anything with words. Ever. Although she was once stopped from murdering us by her hangover, but that was different."

Sona hardly moves, but doesn't reject the embrace either. But once she hears about the booze, she can't supress a little chuckle.
"Heh. But... Someone could. A hero could."

[Twi]

Maria giggles. "Nope, I doubt it. Unless the words happened to be magically persuasive or something along those lines. Besides, we don't need any heroes here, right?"

[Caellath]

"The torikan woman is apparently not so knocked out..." Barth says, motioning Ke to come closer as he shifts his gaze to look into Bryan's eyes.

"Bryan?"

Tyrion approaches Barth as he walks inside. He shakes his head.
" I heard what you were saying to her. And I've tried that before. Doesn't work too well. She's stubborn and idealist. A bad combination of traits, if you ask me."

"Ever tried to slap her awake?" Barth asks, dead serious. "Life is harsh. You can have a positive outlook on it, but you can't be dreamy."
