She brings her arm closer and runs her hand down its back. She frowns a bit as if she were concentrating, then laughs mirthfully before dismissing the illusion.
"That's a nice talent. Say, who can do this in your group?"

"Good to know I'm not the only one of my kind here."

"What about me?"

"You don't count, half-blood."

She smiles at their little arguement.
"Well, if you look long enough, you can find nearly anything here."

Maria laughs. "A talking pony, I believe. Named Silver."

[OREOSOME]

A veil appears above Lucas. He sidesteps out of the way...  Into another one. He comes out as female again.
"Goddangit. I really hate those things."

"Nice to meet you, Sona. My name's James Reyes."

[Twi]

Maria raises an eyebrow at the gender-changing Lucas.

"....Oh my. That seems unpleasant."

[Spinal_Taper]

Maria laughs. "A talking pony, I believe. Named Silver."

A veil appears above Lucas. He sidesteps out of the way...  Into another one. He comes out as female again.
"Goddangit. I really hate those things."

"Nice to meet you, Sona. My name's James Reyes."

"Oh, the one that ran off as soon as I came over here?"
She looks at James and Lucas.
"I like your name, James. Simple, unassuming. But what's your name, miss?"

A dark blue phoenix soars down, trailing silver ribbons.

"Not really. It's just a really quick change."
She adjusts the jumpsuit slightly.
"Then again, we did go through a whole tower with all these things. Also, it's still me, Lucas."

[Spinal_Taper]

She nods.
"Lucas then."

"Bartholomew... Some of the others were calling you Barth, correct? And who's the snake girl next to you?"

"This is Ke. She is my...Er...It is a bit complicated" Bartholomew says, scratching the back of his head.

The phoenix pauses in the air just in front of Sona, then it and the ribbons burst into specks of color and reform into the shape of a kitten.

Kwykathen sniffs the air, looking at Sona.

"You don't smell like any Quasi I've ever met... What are you?"

[Spinal_Taper]

"Bartholomew... Some of the others were calling you Barth, correct? And who's the snake girl next to you?"

"This is Ke. She is my...Er...It is a bit complicated" Bartholomew says, scratching the back of his head.

Sona blinks a few times, then purses her lips and nods.
"Oh, there's no need to tell me."

Kwykathen sniffs the air, looking at Sona.

"You don't smell like any Quasi I've ever met... What are you?"

"Back in my homeworld, they called me an elf. But, I'm a druid. This means I interact with nature, at all of its levels, from the smallest worm to the mightiest tree."

The phoenix pauses in the air just in front of Sona, then it and the ribbons burst into specks of color and reform into the shape of a kitten.

She ignores the kitten, and looks around.
"Could you please come out and meet me? I'd love to see you instead of your illusions."
