She also finds the forge (not the engine room) and immediately cannibalizes most of it, replacing it with a BIG fabricator. Conveniently, there's a cargo door leading out from it, as well as a platform on the outside and some sort of crane to lift and lower stuff.

Or rather, she needs to fabricator a slightly larger fabricator than her own, which then fabricates a slightly larger one, which then...
