The sound of pinging comes from outside the mech. Its being barraged by ... the veils? Yes. The veils are being launched at the giant  Land Battleship.
Huh. Nothing? Really? I was at least expecting something to happen. Oh well, PLAN B!
Several veils are sent flying through hatch they came in from, towards the Automatons.

One of the automatons acquires a machine gun and top hat.

Fortunately, Maria destroys it before it can do horrible things. She's not making much headway, though. THere are something like fifty of the things packed into the little corridor.

Two plant vines break from Sonas back, lifting her two feet into the air. The vines split into two smaller vines each, which whip towards the automatons before snatching some random automatons, hurling them every-which-way
