James follows after them.

"For no apparent reason, to boot. Situation was not exactly desperate, no one was really even hurt, there were only one or two enemies left."

Well, I don't remember what happened, but besides, the theory of Psionic Exertion was just that. A theory. Look, We can discuss this later, after we get out of here, okay?

[Twi]

"True enough."

Maria just shrugs and presses on.

[SomeStupidGuy]

"Whatever you say, Lucas."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

Richard walks on behind the group, his Evoker at hand.

[OREOSOME]

The group finally reaches the center of the hall. There is a door off to the side, leading into a very large room of some sort. At the far end of it, is another door, this one made of metal, as opposed to the stone of the old temple. More of the shadowy beings patrol the room, as well as more of the faceless guards.
I think we'll just need to fight... our way... through all of them. Shit. This is gonna be a long day.
He draws the sword, and prepares to head in.

Richard nodded and pointed the Evoker at his head.u

"I believe I have yet to 'introduce' myself to you."

[Twi]

"Oh yes it will."

She goes back to the sword-and-book stance, chuckling a bit.

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Persona!"

Pendragon flashed into existence above Richard's head.

"Shall we get going?"

[OREOSOME]

Lucas seems a bit surprised by the Persona, but then nods and charges in, slicing up at least 2 soldiers, and 3 of the other shadows.

Richard stayed behind, pointing at several shadows.

Pendragon rushed in behind Lucas, slicing down several who were left in his wake.

[Twi]

Maria notes the knightly appearance of this one, and nods her head ever so slightly to her/it.

"Say, Richard. Does that summon of yours know how to fight in groups? It can be tricky with swords this large, and tends to require a bit of training...but it's still far superior to fighting individually."

Maria goes in along with Pendragon, singing and swinging away. Her style seems more...defensive now. Less wild swinging, more careful strikes and covering against attacks.

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Since it's an extension of my soul, and I don't knot how to fight in a group, I don't think so."

Pendragon leaps at one opponent to bring it down with one strike.

[Twi]

" Do you know how to wield a sword at all? Still...A shame. Perhaps I should teach you."

Maria spins away to give Pendragon room to fight, going back to a somewhat more aggressive combat style. She still seems to defer to the summon a bit, though, and actually starts to smile a bit.

"Just a little bit more like old times."
