[Twi]

"I usually make it a policy to go for chest first, head second, if someone's trying to kill me and I'm willing to kill them in self-defense. Good to know that'd work, ignoring the question of whether I'd survive long enough to do it. Still..."

She keeps fixing him up, but is suddenly joined by Arandal, complete with cannon on it's back. "When did Arandal get a cannon?"

"Guten Tag!"

Camille notices Sona and waves back, walking over to her.

Once there,she whispers conspiratorially:

^{"I was the one who made the cannon. Hehe."}

[Spinal_Taper]

"Yeah, enough time here, and you learn that typically, you will have to kill someone, run, or be killed."
He watches his arms curiously as the flesh slowly regrows on his arm.
"Itchy."

Sona instead just begins looking at Arandal curiously.

[Twi]

"Really seems to be more of a holdover from your old job."

Camille smiles.

^{"Dunno what it is, but Maria calls it Arandal. It came with the sword, and at first attacked us but was hilariously defeated.  Since then it's been doubling as the scabbard for said sword. It also speaks German for some reason..."}

[OREOSOME]

Lucas walks outside.
"Whoa... Cannon Spider Robot."

[Spinal_Taper]

"I beg to differ. We're in a safer part of the Lost and Found, as well as having a good deal of people. That, and we've established a little base here. Most of the time, things are much messier both getting her and living here for a while. Especially with how most groups like to roam and try to find their relatives or friends."

Sona moves her hand over the spider as if to pet it.
"That was pretty bright of you. How'd you do it?"

[Twi]

"Hrm."



Meanwhile, the spider seems to enjoy being petted.

"Hallo!"

^{"It usually doesn't talk too much. But I did make the cannon. Arandal can apparently eat up metal stuff, which can make gears, of course...and bullets in this case. Plus the gears on it can spin at absurdly fast speeds."}

The spider turns towards a tree and begins spinning up the many gears on its body, as something retracts inside the fairly long cannon barrel.

[OREOSOME]

Lucas picks up some metal bars, and they seem to shrink in his hand, into very small cubes. He puts them in a small compartment in the new rifle.
"Well, now that kinetics is loaded, maybe I should test it out."
He quickly assembles a set of training dummies, using some remaining masks as the heads.
"Well, now we've got targets to use."
He starts testing his rifle.

[Caellath]

"Like sssssoooo much elssse, it issss uncertain..."

"It was my fault. She was trying to help me..."

Bartholomew puts his hands on his head and stays unmoving for a moment before rising and moving out and into the forest. "I'll change my bandages and do the usual. It won't take too long."

[Spinal_Taper]

Tyrion nods.
"Your group is lucky. Most of your group is incredibly powerful, as well as being in a place that almost seems blessed."

Sona continues idly petting the spider.
"Is metal all it can eat?"
She notices Barth leaving.
"Oh! Hi Barth!"

[Cassandra]

She slithers after him awkwardly. It's her job as a bodyguard.

[Twi]

"You really think so? We have a lot of relatively weak people, too... And this place is nice, but it's just so...small. Nowhere to go. Gets kind of maddening."


^{"I dunno, but it seems to be the only thing it cares fo-"}

Rather suddenly, Arandal fires, punching a rather enormous hole in the tree it was aiming at, and causing it to fall over after a short delay. Fortunately, Sona was not in the way. Although she could hear a boom, despite the fact that there were no explosives involved.

^{"We go through so many trees...but was that a sonic boom? Good shot!"}

"Jawohl!"

The spider stops the spinnign of gears and nuzzles into Sona's hand. It seems to be smiling.

[Spinal_Taper]

Sona frowns and gives Arandal a scolding finger.
"Be nice to the trees, okay? They live, just as you or I."

"Let's put it this way. Most of the group has some form of magic. Most groups have one or two people with magic. They're just ordinary people. If every group was like this, then there would barely be a reason for the Seekers."

[OREOSOME]

Lucas rushes to investigate the boom.
"What the hell was that? Some sort of tank?"
Far in the sky, too far to be seen just yet, a lone vehicle examines the strange landscape it has now found itself in. It begins falling, falling slowly. No one sees it just yet, but it comes.

[Twi]

"....Jawohl..."

The spider in question is considerably less enthusiastic now.

Camille, though, just grins at Lucas.

^{"Remember Buckler? We now have our own version. I built the cannon myself. Without an ounce of explosive OR magnetism!"}

"Is that so?"

[Spinal_Taper]

Sona pets the Spider and gives it an apologetic smile.
"Don't be sad you made a little mistake. Just don't make it again, okay?"

Adrian just watches the trees collapse.
