She nods slowly, sighing.

"That was certainly ill-mannered and in bad taste, but I'm not sure if it posed any real threat to us. I'd rather avoid getting him killed until we make sure he's openly aggressive." Barth says, pragmatic as always.

_{"But he could have attacked during a less problematic moment."} he says before sighing and finishing with the bandages on his arms. "Is it true you don't like the 'other' Ke?"

She sighs.

"Imagine, masssterrrr... If yoooou sssspent the majoooorrrrity oooof yooourrrr time in the booooody oooof a rrrrabbit. She coughs, blood dripping from her fangs.

James sighs and grins sardonically.
"Alright, since you asked so nicely. I was about twenty, in college. I'd been planning on becoming a lawyer. But that's not important, I'll cut right to the chase, I killed some poor bastard. It's been a long, long time since then, I can't even remember why I did it. Knowing me, bastard that I am, probably over a girl or some stupid shit. What I do remember is my reaction, I went right home, grabbed what little money I had, some antique weapons I'd bought and then I went off to get a ride to Pandora, planet they'd just found. Seemed like a good idea at the time, like most of the other shit I did that night."

Maria scowls.

"Well, that's a lovely reason to murder so- No, who am I kidding, you should burn in hell."

She pauses to loom over him and generally look like she's going to murder him herself...but then her expression lightens.

"But it's not like I care about how stupid you were in the past!"

[SomeStupidGuy]

"Believe me, I know. That thought's run through my head every day, for the past seven years. I am very well aware of how much of an awful person I am."

[Twi]

"Unfortunately, that tends to happen. Hence why doing such things on impulse is not only evil but bloody stupid."

She playfully smacks him on the head for emphasis.

"Anyways, moral of the story is, I am a bastard and an idiot."

"Understood, Bloody Stupid. That's your new title, by the way. Bloody Stupid James. Like it?"

"Not particularly, but I can't deny that I deserve it."

[Spinal_Taper]

Sona scoots up beside him.
"Aww. Don't call yourself that. We'll forgive you."

"I- I once had to kill a-a close friend of mine. My home system, It was being attacked, by some unknown force. They looked mechanical, but they had Psionic power. They- they took over my friends mind. He went crazy, and I had to kill him."
He sighs.
"I'll always remember him."

Lucas suddenly finds himself being hugged by Maria. Apparently he struck a nerve.
