Maria raises an eyebrow.

"Oh? Tell me some more~"

She nods slowly, sighing.

"Cut that sssstupid illussssioooonissst tooooo piecessss..

"That was certainly ill-mannered and in bad taste, but I'm not sure if it posed any real threat to us. I'd rather avoid getting him killed until we make sure he's openly aggressive." Barth says, pragmatic as always.

"But he could have attacked during a less problematic moment." he says before sighing and finishing with the bandages on his arms. "Is it true you don't like the 'other' Ke?"

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Knoooowing yoooou coooould be moooorrrre at any time, knoooowing yoooou coooould have coooontrrrrooool in a sssuperrrriooorrr foooorrrm... But noooot. Sssspending moooosssst oooof that time, helpless in that rrrrabbit foooorrrm while ssssoooomeooone with rrrradically differrrrrent views issss in coooontrrrroool... But it'ssss moooorrre than that. Ssssshe getssss toooo experrrience thingssss... Mooooorrre than coooombat... And if yoooou everrrr shoooow... Physsssical interrresssst, it will alwayssss be herrrrr, noooot me."

She coughs, blood dripping from her fangs.

"Woooorrrrsssse, knoooowing that it'sssss noooot even intentioooonal oooorrrr sssspite, but RRRREQUIRRRED, and that sssshe woooould let me have coooontrrrrooooll... Except that it woooould kill ussss. It'ssss harrrrd noooot tooooo be rrrresssentful."

Cassandra likes elves for their taste, Cobalt for it's pretty colors, and kittens for their cute intentions. She is incredibly strong, but horribly unlucky, and speaks with a rasping accent. She is white with black eyes. She likes dwarves for their hilarious intentions.

"The fuck do you mean by 'plot'"

James sighs and grins sardonically.
"Alright, since you asked so nicely. I was about twenty, in college. I'd been planning on becoming a lawyer. But that's not important, I'll cut right to the chase, I killed some poor bastard. It's been a long, long time since then, I can't even remember why I did it. Knowing me, bastard that I am, probably over a girl or some stupid shit. What I do remember is my reaction, I went right home, grabbed what little money I had, some antique weapons I'd bought and then I went off to get a ride to Pandora, planet they'd just found. Seemed like a good idea at the time, like most of the other shit I did that night."

Maria scowls.

"Well, that's a lovely reason to murder so- No, who am I kidding, you should burn in hell."

She pauses to loom over him and generally look like she's going to murder him herself...but then her expression lightens.

"But it's not like I care about how stupid you were in the past!"

"Believe me, I know. That thought's run through my head every day, for the past seven years. I am very well aware of how much of an awful person I am."

"Unfortunately, that tends to happen. Hence why doing such things on impulse is not only evil but bloody stupid."

She playfully smacks him on the head for emphasis.

"I- I once had to kill a-a close friend of mine. My home system, It was being attacked, by some unknown force. They looked mechanical, but they had Psionic power. They- they took over my friends mind. He went crazy, and I had to kill him."
He sighs.
"I'll always remember him."
