Maria fails to notice Silver or the fact that her sword's sheath has now taken on the appearance of a metal spider (a reasonable one, mind you: no exposed gears and whatnot) swallowing the sword blade-first.

"I suppose a contest might be good...But probably not a duel, for...obvious reasons."
