"Enabler."

"Look's like no-one's paying attention to my story."

"What is your name, healing lady?"

"I'm paying attention, just amusing myself a bit."

Nayaru pulls back some of her hair, showing off her ear.

"The crow, who I assume was Nenikki's dad, gave me an apology letter. I jumped out the window for reasons I don't understand onto a nearby tree, and then climbed down. Lightning hit the tree, which spread to the windmill, burning it down."

After  Barth's full explanation sinks into her head, Maria smiles wryly. "And where I was working, there was plenty of sand and hardly anything that could be called healing herbs."

"A nearby kingdom also had great expanses of desert. I have to admit life there seemed harsher than around some of the plains and forests, although the plague didn't seem to reach them...And bullet? Something like arrows? Those do need care to extract." Barth says, making small talk as he caresses Ke's head absent-mindedly.

"Look's like no-one's paying attention to my story."

"I am. I made multi-tasking a habit."

Kwykathen gets up, stumbling slightly.

"F-fuck. Th-that's some strong wine..."

"I stood in the rain for a short while before a lighthouse rose out of the rubble like a pheonix. I opened the door and walked into a padded cell somehow. I cut off the padding and revealed a scratched wooden door. I think it lead me to the top of the lightouse, despite me not having ascended anything. Lightning struck again, and hit me. I woke up then. I love my dreams. Especially the nightmares."

Kwykathen stumbles around, nearly tripping over Barth.

"You saw my dad?"

"Wait, Burning Crow sent an apology letter? That's good of him, I suppose. Well, good to hear that you enjoyed it. I never really enjoyed my dreams, but that has more to do with the subject matter."

Silver snickers silently, and the illusions flicker.
