"Long story short: Long ago, a Artifact maker went mad with grief, and dark gods convinced him to make a set of tablets that bound several different souls to the divine plane. A few years ago, those tablets broke, and all those souls were sent down to where the mortals are, and sharing bodies with them. Kyrad is one of those bound souls, and I am one of the unlucky mortals to get paired with one of these souls."
"It's true. All of it."
"I'm going to guess that explanation made even less sense."

At the center of the set of lights, which seem to actually be iron lanterns, is a cloaked figure wearing three metal masks.
It holds the lanterns with six long thin limbs, coming from its sides. ((Meet Pinwheel. Sad little thing, weakest boss in a game filled with absurdly hard bosses.))
The silver masks shifts towards Marie, trying to get a better look at her.
Ariana jogs after Marie.

[Twi]

"... It didn't make sense, but I understood it. If that makes any sense. "

Kogasa!Marie gives it a friendly bow and a wave.

"You don't really want to fight, do you? "

Pinwheel tilts its mask questioningly and quietly whispers to itself for a moment.
One of the lanterns burns more fiercely and Pinwheel pulls it back for an attack, but it seems to change its mind as the lantern burns out rather quickly a second or so later.
It pauses, then bows to Marie.

[Twi]

Marie bows back, again, and smiles, taking a few steps towards Pinwheel.
"Your name is... Ah. Pinwheel, I  believe. Or at least that's what they call you.

I'm Marie. Marie Hel. "
((If it's on a wiki, Marie probably knows it. )

Pinwheel whispers some more, its words seem completely unintelligible to anyone except itself.
It drifts towards Marie, each of its masks staring at her.

[Twi]

Marie does her best to look nice and friendly.

[SomeStupidGuy]

(Relatively) Far away, someone is watching the situation and growing increasingly angry.
"Damned thing. At least it did most of its job. But... I can't have that creature around when it's willing to do things like this."
Pinwheel seems to be trying to look friendly too but suddenly it screeches in pain.

RCS is still in the galley.

Medea sits down, sighing.

"I still need to recharge."

Tanuki wonders how RCS got from her hands to the galley.

Marie panics.

"A-are you alright, Pinwheel?! Is... "

A look of rage crosses her face.

"Is someone hurting you?
Because if that is so, then... "

Pinwheel sinks downwards, looking up at Marie and nodding.
"Our master..."

[Twi]

Marie glares up at the sky and turns to...
Hey, isn't that just that Venus form with a black hoodie...

"If they are really doing such a thing, I will not stand for it!"
...And a giant bloody scythe from nowhere?!?

It gets even worse when an EYE opens up on the blade. A big one at that.

" Now, this eye can see magic, you know. And it's very good at it. It can even see the strings of manipulation... and this blade can cut them. "
The newly transformed Marie starts looking for those or something along those lines.

Marie would find that Pinwheel seems to almost surrounded in them, though most come from the direction it came from.

[Twi]

Marie gets cutting!
"This might hurt slightly.

...For the one doing the manipulating. "

[SomeStupidGuy]

The manipulator winces, more out of surprise than anything.
"Heh heh. Just as well." And with that, he/she lets Pinwheel go.
Pinwheel rises up to its previous height, its lanterns lighting up as well. It seems significantly less dying-y.
