((It's worth noting that I had little to no idea where I was going with this.
But, now I've got an idea. Whether or not it's a good one, is up for debate.))
Suddenly, a set of six lights appears in the distance.
Ariana looks at them cautiously. "Hm, that looks a bit familiar."

"Speaking of which, that dancing beetle.. Heh. "

Maria smiles.

"Reminds me of things we made back home. Trinkets. War machines, too: I had a friend named Krieg whose job was to break them. Then again, she was technically one of them, so...

Still, this land is indeed strange and impressive."

"I know what you mean. These sort of mechanisms are a major industry for the Dwarvern kingdoms back home. If I'm correct, I think I understand why Kyrad doesn't really like artifacts and such."
"Oh, and what might that be?"
Tara shifted a bit, and turned towards a spot next to her, where Kyrad appeared once more, looking confused.
"Well, you said you knew the Shamed Smith, you're appearance currently, and not to mention the fear of artifice you have. It's obvious. You're Princess Kyra Dian. Then again she did-"
"How did you know of me and Artificer Creech's history together?"
"Ah, got you. To be honest, I didn't. But I put the facts together. You look just like the statue at the old temple, where this all started. Then you were afraid of Creech's mistakes, and then... well, you mentioned a mistake, that you and some companions of yours once made. It all adds up."
"I... Its true. You're spot on. This is all my fault, this condition you're in. That, my dear, was my greatest failure. I refused him, and drove him to madness, and then..."
"What?"

Maria is totally confused now.

The lights shift slightly, then a blast of fire comes at Marie and Ariana.
Ariana dodges to the side. "Well then. There's that question answered."

She turns back to Kogasa!Marie and flies towards the lights.
