Kyrad does some flashy sorts of sweeps and prods with the spear, trying to catch Marie off guard. Tara holds it forward, as if expecting a Calvary charge, and begins to channel a small arcane bolt.
"Hmm... I hope we can hold those people off."

Marie is not caught off guard at all, ducking and dodging around it, getting close enough to slash at Kyrad. Her fighting style seems...well, disciplined would be the best way to describe it. Much like her uniform: aggressive, but precise and well-measured. While she slashes away, they're far from blind swings.

Her speech, on the other hand:

"Hey, have I told you about Sapphira? "

Sapphira gets back to warding stuff.

Ariana leans back against the wall. She seems to be trying out some sort of spell.

Sapphira looks at Ariana whilst warding away.

Ariana seems to be covered in a brass set of armor, with a helmet designed after a wolf's head. She experimentally moves her arm around. Evidently it doesn't actually do anything beyond look nice, as it doesn't seem to affect her movements at all.
_{"Hm. Not quite, I suppose."}
She lowers her catalyst and the armor disappears piece by piece in miniature bursts of blue.

"Illusion? Or trying to summon armor? "

Sorry. Just zoned out. What were we talking about again?
Allie seems to have reheated pizza while she was zoned out.

"Something along those lines. Mainly just experimenting. I never used to really get the chance."

"Heh. If I didn't experiment, I'd probably have been out on the streets. "

Also because they want Lazarus. So all we have to do is let them follow it into our cunning plan!
