Gaston passes by the crime scene.

"What's going on?"

Alith has run off to find the others.

[OREOSOME]

Jacke got up, thinking over the leads and clues.
And then he noticed Sapphira.
"Hello. Let me guess. You don't like what you see. I can't blame you. Or, have you come with something I can use to make sure the one behind this is found? Either one is fine."
He turned to Ariana.
"No. No real leads, aside from Gaston being here 3 hours ago, although, Alith here says they couldn't have been dead more than half an hour. You find something yourself? Gaston! What did you see the cats doing last? Did you say anything? Any leads would be appreciated."

[Twi]

Sapphira finally realizes that there are dead people.

"^{Oh...Oh dear}."
....Or maybe she didn't. She just sort of stumbles to the wall and sits down, leaning on said wall.

Ariana nods at Jacke then notices Sapphira."Hrm, not feeling well?"
Nathan bumps into Alith. "Woah, what're you doing?"

"Merde. Oh merde.

I saw zhem training earlier. Zat's all I know."

Gaston seems distraught.

"A load of cats just got killed."

"Rockin' that machine gun, I see?"

Sapphira looks up.

"Coffee. Get me some coffee. "

Marie smirks.

"Yup. And the longsword. And black uniform. And pretty much everything. "

Gaston just shakes his head and looks at the bodies.

"What...did zis?"

[SomeStupidGuy]

Nathan frowns. "You mean, those little cat people? That's..."
He trails off but he's pretty clearly sad.
Ariana nods. "Of course. Just a moment."
She walks off to the deck and gets some coffee. Assuming nothing goes wrong, she returns within a few minutes and gives Sapphira the coffee.

"Something came in and strangled all of them, from the looks of things."

[OREOSOME]

"That, Gaston, is what I intend to find out. From what we've gathered, we have these leads:
The cats were training until half an hour ago, upon which they seem to have all choked to death, but there are no signs of struggle, or forced entry. This has lead me to believe the culprit persuaded them to choke themselves. You were last near here 3 hours ago, and then there is a 2 and a half hour gap in which who knows what may have happened. With these facts, we can hopefully ascertain the culprit, and the means, as well as possible reasoning."
He looks over the people in the room, and thinks over the possibilities.

Sapphira takes the coffee and starts sipping it. And starts examining the bodies carefully.

"I'm no detective, but... Where I'm from, an air elemental or the like could do stuff like this. Just take their breath away...permanently, as one might say. Or they could have been hypnotized or persuaded.
...Hrrrrm. I can least see if magic was used here recently, and perhaps what type. Useful in my business."

She seems to begin testing the area for signs of magic use. Well, maybe not 'seems', but that's what she's doing, at any rate.

"Hm. Uh, where're they?"
Ariana examines the bodies and can be heard murmuring things under her breath.

"Maybe.....someone snuck in, like a doppelgänger, disguised him/herself, and persuaded them?

Alith wouldn't, he hasn't got ze ability to compel zhem to do zat like what happened here.

Although he or she could be any one of us.....not me, of course.

Presumably it would be someone ze cats know. Zat rules out me, Orichalum,Sapphira , Andre, and you two.

It can't be ze lake people, Camille, Maria or Alith. They seem to have alibis; Camille left, Maria's been gone, Alith doesn't have zat power, and ze lake people have been gone for days.

Zat leaves Richard et Marie. Or else we have a dead end."

There are no magic residues around. At least, not ones which could be used for strangling. Although there are some Persona traces around, and Shadows as well.

"Look for Jacke and Ariana. Gaston, possibly, he was nearby."

[Twi]

" I'm pretty sure the kal-- nightmare wasn't here at that time. And...I found something. No idea what it is, though. Doesn't seem to be anything I've seen."

Speaking of Marie, she's heading inside if Richard remains unresponsive.

[OREOSOME]

"Hm... Wait, we can't rule out the possibility of something we don't know of taking them out. As in, maybe we have a ghost on our hands. It wouldn't need to break down the doors, and maybe it could easily just convince them to... Hmmm... Doesn't add up. We should keep thinking, but we can't quite rule that out just yet."
He continues thinking.
