Alright then. First off, depth. Real people have both virtues and flaws and all sorts of intricacies. Obviously, no character can be quite as complicated as real life, but still. And obviously, someone who can just snap their fingers and win is not an exciting protagonist. Stories need a conflict.

As a general rule, one cannot write a story about a protagonist having everything and not having to work. It just gets you nowhere. If you want a plot, you need conflict, and you need difficulty.

If noblemen have it so easy, and can't get attacked by peasants and other nobles, then yes. But if you can threaten the nobleman, or something important to them, then you can use that.
