Marie describes in great detail how she is going to...well, basically torture this totally anonymous person and heal them again until she gets bored and THEN finish them off. It's even more unpleasant than it sounds.

OH, and she still holds Alith very, very tightly. Not quite tight enough to kill him, at least.

She shapeshifts into....a girl with a giant syringe. Which she stabs into Alith. ...Annnnnd it takes away his voice. Wonderful.
