"Abyssals. Underground. You know. A thousand nations carved out of the land itself, yadda yadda yadda."

"Understandably interesting."

[Twi]

"And we Abyssals have conquered it all~ Well, most of it. Some places are lairs of terrible monsters and fiendish creatures. We like to seal them off with thaumic stone. Seriously, that stuff is practically indestructible.

...Oh, right. You're probably wondering what that is. Just a certain method of enchantment that can be used on a few kinds of rock. As I said, it's practically indestructible...and about as hard to move. And making it is almost as difficult- I don't think there was a single country or person that could produce it by themselves, unless you count all the Abyssals as one nation. Tells you something about what it keeps locked up, doesn't it?"

Richard nods.

"Couldn't they have been tamed or something?"

[SomeStupidGuy]

Ariana is sitting on a fallen log, reading. She seems to be creating some kind of illusory figure, but not really paying much attention to it. The figure is indistinct, through a combination of an obscuring glow and the heavy armor it's wearing.
Sapphira would find Nathan taking a nap in the rec room.
He wakes up pretty quickly. "Oh, hello Sapphira."

Alith shapeshifts into Pendragon, then walks into the rec room.

[Twi]

"Well, a lot of men tried, and a lot of men died. They do give off plenty of magic, which can be pulled out of the air from a relatively safe distance. Still, we prefer to build around volcanic vents. They, at least, are not intelligent and don't actively try to kill things that come too close, while still providing plenty of energy. Plus, lava spiders are tameable. They make wonderful siege weapons."

Ghost!Pendragon sits next to Ariana, looking curiously at the figure.

"Hello, Nathan."

Sapphira hands him a bottle of something.

"I can see why."

Pendragon!Alith walks into the rec room
"Hello..."

[Twi]

Orichalcum chuckles.

"Not that I've conducted many sieges in my life. "

Sapphira looks at Pendragon!Alith.

...as does her spidery metal friend. The latter hisses.

"Oh. You again, doppleganger? "

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Damn. How did you know?"

Alith remains in Pendragon form, but uses his normal voice.

"I was going to use this to mess with Richard's head."

[Twi]

"Arachna here is... very perceptive."

Sapphira pats the spider tenderly.

"That said, go mess with him if you want. Not my problem. "

"Still, how convincing do you think this is?"

He changes to a teenaged girl's voice, with a slight British accent.

[Twi]

Sapphira shrugs.
"I have no idea what it should be like. Don't ask me. "

[SomeStupidGuy]

Ariana looks up briefly at Pendragon. "Hello there..."
The figure's armor has an ornate design, but the armor is clearly aged and more than a little decayed.
Nathan looks over at Alith for a moment and sighs, then returns to looking at the bottle.
"So, what's this, exactly?"
