Silver looks in at Sapphira through a window.

"What are you doing?"

Ariana continues looking through her notes. "Who?"

Indeed. She appears to be testing some sort of black, tar-like substance.

A Reethoker, apparently a well-hidden one, is shoved out of a window on the fourth and final floor of the tower. It hits the ground with a loud crunch and stops moving. Then the gates start slowly rising.

"That'd be awesome, Marie."

She turns to Ariana.
"Nayaru's a troll from the webcomic Homestuck."

"That's pretty much it. Want to know about the time I knocked an eagle anima out of a tree?"


Silver hops in through said window.

"What kind of alchemy?"

The panel on the sphere irises open, emitting a loud stream of swearing in a rough, guttural voice.

Marie just grins.

"The mildly incendiary kind. But don't worry. As you can see, all tests are confined to a safe, nonflammable environment."

Which they are. There's also some sort of magic barrier around the stuff. Speaking of, it burns quite well.

Maria frowns at the pod, shaking her head.

Lucas heads towards the sphere.
"Alright. Lets finally see what's in this thing."

"Sure, why-"
He looks over at the orb. "Oh hey, something's actually happening."
Ariana looks at Allie with a blank expression.

Iris turns halfcat.


Silver watches curiously.

The car is built for a Demonblood.

Arnkeni comes down from the tower and gets in the car.
"I don't know how that one was still alive."

She drives out of the gate and outside.

"Nicole, directions?"
"I could give you directions if Allie could swap places with me."
"Nuuu! My seat! Ugh. Fine."
Allie and Nicole get out of the car and swap seats. Nicole starts giving directions.

The swearing stops, then is replaced by the same voice saying, in between swears "OH! so you -expletive- thing finally worked? i really should have put that money in something usefull..."
The swearing resumes, most of it aimed at arms dealers, junk yards and explosive metals.
