Andre bashes it with his shield and follows up with a bash from his mace while it's (hopefully) stunned.
Ariana continues doing the magicky thing.

This spider is somewhat more stubborn! It avoids the axe and bashes, but gets hit by the arrows. Nonetheless, it survives quite well and tries to kick both Andre and Allie away from itself.

She heads in the direction Nicole came from.

Andre jumps back, taking out his talisman once he's no longer at risk of spider kicks.

Allie blocks and puts an electric charge into her axe for the spider.

The squirt puts a fin up to it's face, mimicking someone thinking.

Iris is woken up by Jacke moving and meows in a disgruntled manner. She stands, stretches, and curls up again.

Sapphira notices Nayaru. Or at least gets the idea that someone's there besides the giant cat she's been blocking out.

Utsuho!Marie finds Ladyflandre!Marie hiding in a corner and practically drowning herself in alcohol. She whacks her with her arm cannon, then continues on towards the basement.

The spider is unusually resistant to the grenades! However, it is hit by the axe and is heavily injured. It gets rather angry and attempts to ram Allie with its considerable bulk.

Nayaru greets Sapphira in a tone that is obviously dripping with happiness and good will.[/sarcasm]

Andre's reason for taking his talisman out is soon revealed, when he starts using it to blast the spider with giant orbs of force, in an attempt to throw it off its course and away from Allie.

"Oh, hi. This alchemical light is really nifty, by the way. "

Sapphira goes on to describes its ingredients in surprisingly understandable fashion, oblivious to Nayaru's unfriendliness.

Nayaru continues giving her a death glare.

Sapphira shrugs and gets back to reading her book. It seems to be some sort of textbook for alchemy.
