A few Reethokern get in the way of the group, but Isabella's so good at killing them there won't even be any combat.
"We need to get to the center of this place. The Reethokern stole a machine that basically puts someone and anybody else hooked up to it into the first person's mind. Anything that the people in the mind make or obtain becomes real, and appears in a nearby container."


It pulls Ariana's shield aside ans stabs her in the arm.

_{"Should've known. With that many eyes, not much you can't see."} She sweeps her spear across its legs, trying to topple it.
"Sounds convenient. Almost absurdly so."

Isabella is quite adept at killing beasts, yes. There's also, you know, the hugenormous sword that she uses*.

((* Nuuu! No innuendo! D:))

Anyways, Flandre!Marie does her best to search for the people.

" Sounds like a fun place. And convienient, yes. "

((Oh, and by the way. Marie maaaaaay be sliiiightly more powerful inside someone's head. That may or may not be an understatement.))

"Thing is, the people inside don't know they're inside unless told by an external source. So they're fighting every horror that their mind brings up. Have you ever expected a Deus Ex Machina in real life?"


It dodges the spear with an agility and dexterity not to be expected to come from the creature based on the way it walked. It brings one of its sharp, bladed appendages down hard onto Ariana's arm.

" Interesting. I wonder what sort of horrors I'll find?~ "

Ariana winces, but recovers relatively quickly. She grabs the things arm and yanks it back in an attempt to knock the thing down.
"God from the machine? Heh. In my line of work, we take advantage of them."

"Things might work out for us, then. Isa, do poisonous gasses affect you?"


It does not get knocked down. Instead, it jabs at Ariana in her chest.

The obnoxious spider walks up to Allie.
"Ohgodnotyou."

"Never had the pleasssure of finding out, but I imagine they probably don't affect me as much as they would a human. Doubt I'd be completely immune, though. Then again, I'm already dead now, sssso that might change thingsss a bit. What about you? "

Ariana makes a last ditch effort to kick it off her. "Damned thing."

"What do you think. Anyways..."
Arnkeni tells Marie how to get herself into the machine. It's a very complicated process.

She then shoots at the ground, which sends out bombs that release a gas that makes both Arnkeni and Andre fall unconcious first. Soon Isabella falls down, too.


It moves off of Ariana, but only to pick up a long piece of glass to stab with.

Isabella is in fact immune for whatever reason or another, despite her guess.

"Huh. Well, that anssswersss that quessstion. "

Marie frowns, and briefly goes inside Arnkeni's head to point out the obvious, hopefully to a part of her mind that responds usefully.

" I'm not even here, physically. You're lucky Isabella is apparently immune to the gas, because I can't exactly do those things myself.   "*

((*which is the actual reason Isabella is immune. That and she might have been immune anyways because deadness.))

Also, where's the machine, anyways?

A group of Reethokern approach. They're still far away.

Marie has an idea, and she and Isabella both disappear. To be exact, Isabella was desummoned, and Marie is just lurking invisibly, watching.

((Yeah, I figured that. I guess the real question should have been: Where are we in relation to it? ))
