The Torikan shrieks in fear, taking off into the dark.

"..."

He facepalms.

"Yes. Terrify the thing with a half-ton apex predator guarding it. There's no way that could end badly!"

"So they act like they are properties or are owned in some way? I may write down this kind of information later, for travelers that come after us." He says, getting back to shielding Ke with his body.

"Yah, males tend to be little more than chattel in most cases."

Barth stops for a moment and stares at Bryan. "Oh, wait. If my actions had any strange meaning to torikans, I'm just glad I didn't try it on you during any of your panic attacks. Should be even more mindful of differences in culture, apparently."

"Being a medic gets you a little less worried about touch in most cases, I guess. That and my last attempt in my lands worked. I guess I'll avoid most things based on previous knowledge here." he says apologetically.

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"How else rid ourselves of it?"
"Bryan could have calmly told him to leave us alone."

"Is this the part where we retreat back out of the ship and wait until our track is cold?" Barth asks, staring at Bryan.

He points at Ke and the non-combat looking members of the group. "I don't think we'll be able to deal with a big threat. Even killing a female for defending her territory and...'property' does not seem too good."

"That'd probably be wise."

"Now that, is an idea I agree with. Let's head out now, before our reputation with these guys falls any lower."

Barth starts to retreat back out of the ship as fast as he can in his state, carrying Ke with him.
"Just hope they do not...Oh wait. Bryan, shield your nose."

The medic takes some leaves from his backpack and throws behind the group as they move until they reach the hole. The dark-green leaves have a very strong odor.
"This will probably hurt their senses and prevent them from pursuing us...I hope."

"Now that, is an idea I agree with. Let's head out now, before our reputation with these guys falls any lower."

"Our reputation with them probably can't get much worse, to be honest. We're in their territory without their permission. And they'll probably know about that soon. If you think people who put up 'no trespassing' signs are bad, you haven't seen anything yet."

Bryan goes a little fish-eyed at the smell of the leaves.

"Yep. Oh god what the hell is that?"

"Hmm, well, so much for that. We'll have to try again later. Maybe forcefully."

Bryan goes a little fish-eyed at the smell of the leaves.

"Yep. Oh god what the hell is that?"

"It's nicknamed Devil's Breath where I come from. The smell is strong to humans, but it's way worse to anything with a very acute sense of smell." Barth says as he keeps running.

He pulls out a very tightly closed pouch. "That's why I usually keep them inside these pouches, with other kinds of leaves around to neutralize the smell until I put them to use."

"Well, it seems to impede my ability to see straight. So it'll probably but a full-blood out of commission for a while."
