The ones who've collapsed are already gone. The Reethokern are fast SoBs. When Marie tries to learn Kestvoshorik from the Demonbloods in the building, it's harder, because, well, they think in that language.

Of course, this is just fine for Marie, and she starts picking up a few words. Like 'fear'.

In the meantime, however, she goes to Andre.

Nathan reaches up and takes a scarf.

Andre dashes after the Reethokern, raising his talisman, which is already begining to glow. The Reethokern find themselves slowing down to a walking pace, assuming he catches up.

Kogasa!Marie follows Andre, Embers in tow, while Matryoshka!Marie keeps an eye on the building and the Demonbloods. And learns. Lots of learning.

Lucas falls asleep, and Trebuchet continues reviewing the files.

Lucas dreams of a ruined world. The moon seems highly cratered, and the land is covered in the hulks of once great battlecruisers. The sound of guns, both handheld and large batteries, rumbles and cracks through the canyons of steel and chrome. He wanders through, into an old city, Skyscrapers knocked down, and homes smashed. The pounding of the guns grew louder, and a hammering from the large pit in the city center grew louder, and as the blazing yellow sun crested over the highest of those concrete hills, something stirred in the city.

Andre ends up slowing a different group of Reethokern. The others have made it to the fortress. Going in there's a terrible idea. Also, I intend to, you know, have part of the adventure involve those stolen characters. Their deaths are up to their killers. Six of them. Enjoy.

Kogasa!Marie catches up to Andre.

They made it into that fortress, I think. This could be a problem.

Andre lets the Reethokern go, not seeing a point in killing them.
Disappointing. Now, what was that you were saying?
Ariana awakens quickly, but allows them to take her, not expecting to be able to take them on in a straight fight.

They made off with your summoner, I think. And everyone else I know except... von Braun, maybe?

We're going to have to rescue them. And since I can't quite speak Kestvoshorik yet, we could have trouble getting effective help.

Just us phantoms. Heh.
