Surprisingly, he isn't thinking of anything romantic, only thinking of comforting his friend.

He silently hoped that Alith wasn't behind him. Or Silver.

Kwyk stumbles across Iris. She looks down at her, a curious expression on her face.

Richard said those words in, what he hoped, was a comforting tone.

He wasn't used to being the comforter. Usually, it was him who was receiving comfort.

Iris lets out a string of meows that sound unnervingly like evil laughter.

Camille shudders and just hugs Richard closer.

Then she ineffectually punches him.

Richard just hugs her tight, cursing himself for saying that.

At that point, both of them promptly find themselves on fire. Camille shrieks in pain.

"OH GOD IT BURNS! MAKE IT STOP!"

She runs around wildly trying to put herself out.

Kwyk laughs back at Iris, the sound deep and rumbling.

Richard pointed the Evoker at his head and summoned the Hag, who cooled the room and put the fire out....

And made them nearly freeze.

"Ggggaaaaahhhhh...."

Then random stuff starts flying around at high speeds. Camille barely manages to not get hit by stuff.
