The more Phyliss tries to take the fire, the more it spreads.
"You're mak-king the burning WORSE!"


Around fifteen people are already in the main room of the church. Most of them are Demonbloods, but there's a Nyelrrithic and an Iloial in the room as well.
"These are not all of them, but they are a good portion."

Phyliss finally stops.

" Normally I would be okay with this. "

"Let's just go! And you! Get some water or something! C02 for all I care!"

Kogasa!Maria glares at the both of them. Phyliss responds by dragging Nicole along in the direction of wherever they're going, looking quite irate.

The stairs are long.


"What're we supposed to do now?"
"Stay indoors, get food, rest, check injuries."

[SomeStupidGuy]

Ariana looks around the room for the person she saw a few moments ago. She doesn't find whoever it is. _{"No such luck, I suppose."}

[Twi]

Along the way, Phyliss manages to finangle a container of carbon dioxide from some ghost or another. Of course, when she tries to open it, it ruptures, leaving her with a crude inert gas-thrower that she can only sort of direct at the flame. But hey, at least she's trying.

"The fire doesn't even hurt anymore..."
The fire continues spreading, but it stops burning her foot, leaving it with a few light burns.


"Food..."
"I think that I should inform the ones not in here of you."

"Still not good. "

Meanwhile, Phyliss continues to wield her awkward fire extinguisher against the stubborn flame until it empties, at which point she throws it away.

The fire extinguisher was doing nothing.
"I always wanted to be a pyromancer, even though magic was bred out of us... my opinion changed when my family was burned to death by Reethokern."


Allie gets some food. There isn't much available.

The Iloial gets up and leaves.

The cat jumps into a tree and turns into her half cat form.

"You going to be alright, Nicole? Seriously, you'll burn at least a layer of your skin off at this rate, I think. It won't look pretty."

"Still don't know how I survived..."
The fire keeps spreading, now having reach her waist and other leg. It's stopped burning the lower leg.

Kogasa!Marie leans into Nicole.

"NICOLE! PAY ATTENTION!"

"Ugh. Don't shout."

Cue Phyliss pulling Nicole faster whilst looking irate, and Marie trying to keep up whilst looking incredibly exasperated.

They're about 4/5 of the way to the bottom.

"Interesting. These files each involve a  separate subject. This one appears to be some form of artificial XO, for some exploratory vessel. This other one seems to be an autonomous fighter craft, designed by some machine race for use against the humans who created it."
