The wolves latch on to the Reethoker and continue their best efforts to bite it to pieces.

Kogasa!Marie helps a bit by making illusionary beams of light to try to blind the Reethoker.

"I wouldn't mind having some kind of myth fighting for me, but so long as I get a cool gun every so often, I'm fine."
Ariana sighs, disappointed at the lack of damage. She draws her spear and shield, and moves in closer.

"How're you finding that gun you found? I think it was called the Sixshot?"

"Seems pretty good. Haven't gotten a chance to use it on something that won't just shrug it off. Though, it seems a bit better than my last one, so there's that."

Slowly, the wolves find their teeth falling out.

"Do none of you know what to do?"
Braug delivers a strike to one of the front legs, smashing it. The Reethoker falls down.
"Break the legs!"

Alith's screaming is heard outside. He seems to be getting chased by kittens. Again.

"-ething you can use it on. The woods aren't just filled with Shadows, surely it dumped other things here!"

Lucas keeps firing, after unloading the veilshot cartridge. Instead, he uses some tough alloyed ammo on the legs.

Two of the wolves seem to be forced out of commision. The remaining two try to break the legs as commanded.

And Kogasa!Marie herself is still fairly useless.

The group breaks the thing's legs.
"Arms and head now!"

Nicole runs back in with a large hammer.
"Finishing time."
She brings it down on the head of the Reethoker, crushing it.

Braug slows his breathing.
"That was a tank. They decided one tank was all that was necessary. Shkorz. We need to go somewhere else. We need to go deeper into the city. What has started cannot be stopped."

Lucas tries to bring the corpse with him, clearly interested by it's resistance to his Laser weaponry.
"Right, where to?"

The last two wolves retreat as well, leaving Kogasa!Marie devoid of ghostly minions.

She frowns.

"Going deeper may not be wise. Not that going higher is likely to be all that safe, either. Better do it now, whatever we're doing."

"Well yeah, but-" As if on cue (since it kinda was), the sound of something large crashing through the forest interrupts him.
"That seems to go against most conventional logic, why would we want to go further in?"

Camille looks outside, raising an eyebrow.
