Allie finishes her soup as a door finds itself forcefully opened, sending its barricade scattered about the room. And in enters a Reethoker. Four legs, two arms, looks a bit like a chaurus. It's even taller than either of the two demonbloods in the room. It's wearing a set of glowing orange armor and weilds two swords, also glowing.
"Klk tnkg dlnks hs gqklk!"
"Shit!"

"All people have souls. Even...Kwykathen, even if it IS evil, twisted and malicious."

[OREOSOME]

"Chitin plating, should be resistant to bullets. Laser it is!"
He fires the laser on his rifle at the Reethoker.

[Twi]

Kogasa!Marie just sighs and indicates to the Reethoker.

And it promptly gets piled on by the wolves, gnawing and gnashing and clawing away at every weak point they can with mechanically-enhanced jaws. They suffer a bit from being ghostly, but not much. They also avoid the laser fire, though this limits them to attacking four at a time at most.

((By the way, there are eight wolves.))

The Reethoker's armor seems to reflect the lazers away at other things. It cuts away at the wolves.

"This is not good."
Braugaerin grabs his flail and Stuvolod (Kestvoshorik for working sawblade on a handle) and turns the Stuvolod on.

Allie gets her axe and charges the brute.

Nicole pulls a small submachinegun from her jacket.
"Fill this thing with pain."

[OREOSOME]

"Crud. That is not good. "
He instead resorts to flinging random bits of furniture at the Bug.

One of the wolves seems to be hit and retreats to nurse its wounds. The others keep it up, chomping away.

Meanwhile, outside, a rumbling sound can be heard. Like the rumble of something heavy and treaded. Uh oh.

Lucas soon finds that most of the furniture is ridiculously heavy. The wolf that was hit catches fire. And the Reethokern keeps slashing at the wolves still fighting.

Braugaerin is adept with a flail and charges the beast, breaking off a few splinters of armor with a hit.

Allie strikes, causing a bit more damage.

Nicole has a terrible aim.

"I was kidding. Anyways, who needs soul powers when you've got superior firepower? Right, Camille?"
Ariana is shooting soul arrows at the bug creature.

The wolf vanishes, presumably to fix itself up. Several more follow suit. The remaining four are still fighting cruelly and vicously, though.

Meanwhile, outside, a battlescarred Leman Russ tank crashes through a wall into the area! Well, it would be more impressive if it actually crashed through the wall and hadn't just used it as a portal and added crashing visual effects.

"CRUSH THE XENOS!"

The immediate hail of weapons fire from 'light' weapons to the main cannon targeted towards any Reethoker caught out in the open, however, makes a much more concrete impression if it finds a target. Assuming, of course, it doesn't get utterly and hilariously stuck...

He retreats back a bit, and begins switching to kinetics mode. After a minute or so, he starts aiming for what he guesses the weakspots are in the bugs armor.
"Think... This is like a Skralli 'zerker form, they pretty much are only weak in... where? Mouth, eyeball,under the plating. Deep breaths, Take your time, wait for the right chance to shoot."
He fires an abnormally large kinetic round at the creatures' assumed weakspots. The round is banded with a navy blue ring.
"Blue ring? Wait. Crud. That's Veilshot 26-B!"

Meanwhile, Camille nods and grins.

"Superrriorrrr firrrepowerrrr all the way."

...and then the tank gets its cannon stuck on the wall.

"...NEVERMIND! RETREAT!"

It vanishes from sight and goes back to wherever it came from.

Inside, Marie is quite disappointed despite having not caught a single glimpse from inside.

"True, but being able to weaponise your soul is AWESOME."

"Ehhhh."

Kogasa!Marie is quite distressed by the fact that Operation Tank Ex Machina was a failure. Now she's back to trying with the wolves, and they aren't doing so well either.

The city hates the tank, just like most things tech-like. Let's forget that the main road that the inn's front entrance is attached to can maybe fit 15 people side to side with arms not outstretched. The tank just finds itself forcefully expelled in pieces from the city. Didn't even kill the one Reethoker.

The Reethoker jumps away from the wolves biting at it to try and take down Lucas.

Lucas's shot ended up hitting a stone brick in the building and turning it into soap.

A soul arrow hits under the plating and does nothing.


Nicole flees to look for something she could use better upstairs.

"Why is this thing so hard to kill?!"
"You do not even know where to strike!"
Braug and Allie run to get closer to the beast.
