Kogasa!Marie frowns.

"I know I'm not very good at it.

 But I try my best, and besides... If it's a ghost town, then let them have ghosts. On loan from a friend of- "

She hears a growling and turns around, to see a pack of ghostly wolves behind her. They seem to be partly mechanical.

"-mine. War wolves. This could be fun."

"Those will only attract the attention we do not need. Are you part of a more large group?"

[Twi]

"They're elsewhere. I came out here on my own.

You should hide again. As you say, it is not safe here.

And personally, I would have gone with embers: they only whisper. But I'll take what I get, I suppose."

[Slayerhero90]

"How competent is the other group?"
The other demonblood climbs onto a ledge.

[Twi]

"..... I wouldn't call them incompetent, to say the least."

Meanwhile, Maria has awoken and begins wandering about outside.

At the same time, Camille falls asleep.

"Can you take me to them?"

[Twi]

Marie gives him directions instead.

"When you get there, tell them Marie sent you. If that doesn't work, I'll hop over there. This place does weird things to me if I put out too many sensors at once, so I rather hope you can get in yourself."

"Thank you, Marie."
He hops down and breaks into a quiet run towards the inn.

Kogasa!Marie nods and turns to the way she was facing again. The War Wolves continue to growl.

Meanwhile...

Maria (re)stumbles upon the entrance to the ruins.

"Hrm. Didn't Camille say she found some sort of 'thermal sense' and fixed it up? I wonder..."

She concentrates hard, then...
INFRARED VISION! Well, not exactly, since it's got nothing to do with the eyes. But still.

"Well that works."

She goes in, experimenting with her newly nonsucky ability.

Corumaret just loves fucking with foreign technology, doesn't it? The first time they were there, Maria and Krieg might have felt a bit of tingling. Even if they can't feel. ((Not sure on whether or not Krieg can feel things.)) However, in this place, the thermal sense completely freaks out. One second, it tells Maria that that stone is as cold as liquid nitrogen. The next, it's the sun. Maria herself has a slight headache that movement makes worse. The easy way is never really that easy, is it?

The other guy knocks on the door.
"You are the group the half-dead Marie spoke of, correct?"

[Twi]

Maria frowns.

"..until that happens. Accursed place."

She promptly leaves and confirms that her senses work normally outside. Yeesh.

Kogasa!Marie goes back to making it rain.

"Someone else in this city? What is your name, who are you, what are you, how many of there are you, and what are your weapons?"
"I am named Braugaerin. I am a demonblood member of the Iron Masks. There is only me. I weild a flail and a Stuvolod."
"As much as I would love to let you in, this group likely is a democracy. Everyone else is asleep. They probably wouldn't like me letting you in without their consent, even if Marie sent you. Find somewhere else and come back in the morning."

[Twi]

Marie puts in her two cents! Unfortunately, there's nothing to look at, just an empty space talking. Wunderbar.

" Be honest here. Why would they say no? They've never done anything of the sort, like, ever. We've never even tried to throw out Kwyk, far as I can remember, despite the fact that most of us find her dangerously murderous. "

"Lucas is a military sort of person who might be dangerous if things don't go his way. Ariana is relatively new and might not know that much about how our group works. Allie's probably fine with it-"
"Yep."
"-and I'm neutral on the matter. That's two yes and two potentially no."

[Twi]

"I'd call that a majority for yes. But meh.

See you later, I'm going bug hunting."

Marie returns her attention to outside...

Where she goes back to being Kogasa!Marie and points her umbrella dramatically forwards.

"Alright, wolves, it's time for some..."

Sunglasses appear on her face.

"Bug hunting." _{"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"}

...One of them tries to bite her. The sunglasses vanish.

"OH COME ON IT WASN'T THAT BAD. "

She sighs and dramatically points forward again.

"Alright, fine. Let's just go. No attacking till I signal, alright?"

The wolves howl with assent this time and begin to stalk forward, sniffing for any sign of bugs. Kogasa!Marie follows them, resting her umbrella on her shoulder.
