If she fancies me, I doubt it. Besides, she likes you more and...crap.

Maria chuckles.

"Uh, yeah, then you're in trouble.

Because she likes me as an machine, not a person."

Richard felt the sweat begin to roll.

"Crap. I'm going to hope she isn't interested in me.

It's not that I don't like her... It's that she's more like a friend to me.

Also, why the sudden interest in my thoughts on Camille?"

Maria nods.

"Romance and friendship are bad in combination, I'm told.

And I was curious. She looks at you a bit more than seems healthy."

Richard turned slightly red.

"Well, she is quite friendly and physical. Maybe she feels lonely?"

[Twi]

"Perhaps."

Speaking of Camille, she returns to the house.

"Hey guys! We should be able to leave now."

"Hopefully. I do genuinely like her. It's just that...ah, you know what, screw it.

I will kill you if you tell her, metaphorically, but I have somewhat harbored a small, minor, unimportant crush on her.

Not that I'd let it get in the way of our friendship, but I'm quite lonely myself; don't get out much."

Richard looked quite sheepish.
