Lucas stared at the powder in awe, or some mix of awe and fear.
I've seen this sort of thing happen before... My squad leader, Mikhail, he was really more of a big brother more than anything. He was a pyro specialist. Manipulate the temperature around him, make fires, Et cetera. We were on a mission, and he... He... He lost control. By the time the science team got to him, he had already burned his vocal cords completely. It was one of the few times we'd ever had a casualty. He never was the same.

Bryan jumps a bit, and his fur ends up standing on end. It doesn't have that big of an effect, considering how short it is, but he still looks silly because of it.

Bartholomew stares at the scene, conflicted between chuckling and reprimanding Allie's behavior, but in the end he just ignores it. Lighthearted moments would be good for the group, especially having in mind the hardships they were bound to face.
