Looks like Hatteras and Ocracoke will get tropical storm winds, but no hurricane. Meanwhile, in Raleigh we'll have a stiff breeze and clouds. Possibly no rain at all. Being a couple hours inland is awesome sometimes.

One thought: Considering how many tens of millions of people that is without power...this may cut our national power consumption by a third. I suppose that's ONE way to solve our energy problems...


EDIT: Just noted that Weather Channel has an item titled "5 Reasons Sandy Will Be Epic". I think somebody's been spending too much time on Cracked.  ::)

I'm not going to worry too much until I see a weather alert that Sandy has officially been updated to Keter-class.

Double-EDIT: Hmm....this could be a problem.

Grab your surfboards, this has been pretty fun weather so far.

In case you don't have any, then grab a skateboard and a bedsheet, and go street surfing.

In case you don't have a skateboard, then wear baggy clothes (XL shirts if you have any) and ride the winds and run at insanely quick speeds. Add a bedsheet for additional fun.

God, the tension is killing me. The storm is going to hit tomorrow and my town is supposedly going to be hit the worst (I live really close to NYC.)

It doesn't help that we have 2 nearly catastrophic events setting up, nearly (But thankfully not) resulting in the death of an individual and the loss of an extremely expensive and large piece of Hardware between them.
