Well, I wanted a peaked roof, and the only wood that can be made into stairs are the five types that I haven't even seen in this world

I have four of those five types. Let me know whatcha need. I expect that the reddish Chestnut would go well with the Kapok. I don't have Birch.

Well, I started making a tower on a peak. I'm trying to make it look dwarvish, or at least somewhat gothic. I hope I'm succeeding.

It's very much a work in progress.

That wooden platform needs something to support it.
It looks rather odd otherwise.
You could try with raw wood, or just regular TerraFirmaCraft supports.

That peak is... pretty steep.

But could look better if you use smooth stone along with the stone brick.
Maybe with a little cobble on the bottom of the tower as well.

I still say that making the tower start thin, and then almost double in diameter suddenly without supports, makes the structure look weak and about to crumble.
besides that, it seems a good start.

I'm thinking about that. In the end I'm probably going to replace a lot of the bricks with other stuff. I just don't have easy access to my stockpiles from the top of this peak

I don't really like how gabbro looks anyway. It's sort of... glassy?

I'm adding some "L-shaped" stone supports around the base. Using chisel to create slabs and so on.
