I can affirm that it could be more out of place, if it had bloody socks in a food stockpile as well.

Those things caused a tantrum spiral... People kept trying to eat them, 5 people starved..... Everyone beating each other to death with the thousands of weapons I bought from the merchants with mastercrafted Claystone pots engraved with lots of claystone.

i've had only boring stuff like corpses inside stockpiles for no reason whatsoever.
I usually have enough idlers to deal with stuff to be moved into correct stockpiles.

Sand bags in my "to melt" stockpile, on the other side of the fort from the glass forges they were being collected to, brought back in, and then back to the forges. It took me a while to realize just why the hell all haulers were too busy to remove those prepared foods in the dye stockpile, or the remains jamming my doors.

Yep, I suck at custom stockpile setting.
