Sorry if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find it and one more time couldn't hurt. Here's the ChefAnon repack with the DarthNox itemset for 1.0.5. http://www.mediafire.com/?iywi5ybwo2x59dn. Got it from the /vg/ Steam group.

The game itself is rather fun, especially when you take an entire 38,000 ton asteroid and hook up rockets to it to fly across the galaxy in it, as a giant katamari :P

Took my starting roid, dug out two tunnels. and put a control/power room at the center.

Placed nine powerful hydro engines to the rear of it at the center of mass, wired it up, and took it out. Got it up to 3.15 units of speed before it flipped. Weighs around 8k tons.

Turn it into a cubic object, as in, make it a cube as much as you can to make it easier to control. My friend made a giant iron cube, slapped some 4x1 engines on it, and said tally ho! It worked.

A few pages back, we were talking about ship-of-the-line.
And now after a lot of digging, I have produced a simple all purpose ship:

Very crammed cockpit:

Oh Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip:

This craft features:
Medium titanium plating.
Heavy titanium front shield.
Jaw and roll engines on the sides. all powerful hydrogen engines.
4 assault cannons on each side.
Pitch engines on the top.
Ion engine in the back.
6 Spinal thuluim guns.

The craft is very agile and has pretty heavy armament.
It's designed to be used with 1 to 3 crew members.
The pilot fires the main spinal guns, so the ship will still be effective vs capital ships with only 1 crewmember.
There is a gunnery station for each side, a gunner could switch between them, or two gunners can man each for maximum effect. The gunners control the anti fighter cannons on the side.

Also, I think I got the dwarven look down pretty well.

That's pretty much exactly what I had in mind.  Short, stout, armored chunk.  Relatively cheap, 1-3 crew and minimal frills.

Having a slight problem.

Some of my blocks were turning invivible, so I went on the wiki and read that you could fix this by editing the XML modelPlacement tags to be whole numbers rather than #.5.
But now, some of my large thrusters are acting strange. They're models don't fit the amount of space they take up, so they look like they're not in the right place when they really are.
Using Chef Anons DarthNox Rebalance Repack v12, if that matters.

Is there a "creative" (i.e. god) mode that I'm missing somewhere? I'd love to design more shyps but this computer is crap, which means lag. Plus drilling 500 tiles of cobalt for like 20 power blocks is a bit annoying.

Not that i know of but you could try using a memory hack like cheat engine and see if you can find the item quantities.
Also, i'm getting the engine dislocation bug(i.e they're one block away from where they seem to be), anyone know how to fix?

And here's my work in progress and 2 layers of armor might not be enough...

The edit the placement fix was for blocks being placed at odd angles and off sets, not for the blocks that don't render.  Just redownload the pack since you probably borked all the .5 values, not all of them are for placement of blocks (some are for the size of projectiles and placement of stuff that moves).

The way I fix the does not render bug is to either: 1) Save, exit, shut down game, start game again: Most things get fixed. 2) Ignore it.  The blocks are still there, and the only blocks that haven't loaded for me are parts of my mining array so I don't care that much.
