Not bad. Now try and design a speeder. (Less than 8 tons and can get up to max speed in 2 seconds. Oh the fun.)

Sounds painfully exciting.
Gah, for some reason my fps is really shitty all of a sudden.

Okay, so now I can't so much as THINK of looking at my asteroid without dropping to 3 fps.

That has happened to me too. Oddly enough, it only occurs when I'm looking at certain sections of the sky. Oh, and I have no clue how to stop it from happening, besides just making a completely new world.

I think I know the problem, my fps only sucks when I can see a beacon i've placed.

Yep, thats it, I nuked my beacon and it works just fine now.

Oh, and in it's current state, my mega ship goes from about 0 to 20 in 3 seconds

And the main body of my ship is now done. Up to about 170 tons. Right now I need to do the armor, turning thrusters, and brakes.

I've started armor and turning thrusters now.

Miniguns are good for mining.  I've been drilling out the core of a roid, but I think it's exhausted now.  Only got 10 redium, not enough to do anything really fun.  I think it's time to do something absurd...

As far as I know, there's not really a reason for brakes, because things magically stop once there's noone at the controls. It'd be more accurate to call them reverse maneuvering engines or something.

What are you talking about? Ships keep moving after you let go of the controls. I've had to chase down many a spiraling, high-speed ship so far, because I let go, xD.

For larger ships you definitely need brakes.  My experimental "how does engines?" ship rammed into an asteroid because its mass was enough to keep it moving.  It seems that some degree of inertia applies to larger items.

I've struck ground on my first ship in this world.  I'm starting around a Powerful Nuclear Engine.

You mean Ion engine?
And are you planning to move a small asteroid? Because with that, you probably could.

EDIT: And I just hit 300 tons. And I still have a bunch of stuff to put on still

Well, a big Nuclear Reactor.  Then I've got 4x Standard Ions, trying to find the Ura to get some Powerful Ion.

Fun fact: A Standard Ion with no additional blocks except controls and power, will reach top speed in about half a second and will go halfway across the galaxy before inertia slows it down.

That is, indeed, a fun fact.
I'm guessing this knowledge is from experience?

EDIT: Alright, the interior is done, I just have to put in the up/down thrusters, add in a pinch of cannon, and stir the programing thoroughly.

EDIT 2: Got some Redium and a bunch of Ponium. I might have enough for a power source AND a cannon, now.

EDIT 3: Almost done my anti-frigate cannon. Can't wait to see how incredibly huge it is.

EDIT 4: Screw it, im putting two anti-frigate cannons on here.

EDIT 5: Nah, one will do.

EDIT 6: Alrighty, only thing left to do is the up/down thrusters and the programming.

EDIT 7: Thrusters in place. Can't wait to fire this thing up!

So which of the downloads scattered about the 3 pages of thread are important? Looks awesome.
