Thank you, TCM. I didn't really want to be the first to say it, as it isn't my game, but there's been a certain degree of Sue creep. That, and there are plenty of potential characters who obviously aren't appropriate for PCs if they're statted accurately. Games aren't fun if they're easymode curbstomps, and the lulz factor of it dies after about five minutes.

This is what is keeping me from submitting Tassadar and Bun-Bun, because Tassadar is immortal, and Bun-Bun is Bun-Bun. After all, a immortal would be no fun to play as. Before anyone complains that he isnt, read the spoiler tag, but get spoilers for SC2.

Well, immortality isn't really a boost or anything in this game, since it has no impact on the skills and fighting ability of everyone. It's probably even a disadvantage, since mortal characters die when they lose, whereas an immortal character might be captured and sodomized by demon-stallions for the next 2859385603283406 years.

No body. How the hell could that even work? Besides, he is at least a class 12 psionic, as he is capable of dueling the queen of blades and then leaving with both parties unscathed, because he was fighting to delay. I doubt that anything short of Celestia could capture him.

You do realize you can dumb down characters' abilities in order for them to be playable. It doesn't have to be perfectly canon. Make excuses for why they suddenly started being mediocre. Maybe TCM could set a limit. Characters have to be under, say, level 2 on the TVTropes Super Weight Scale.

If the Queen of Blades comes in and gets killed by a random enemy, it would be rather hilarious.

Look at the Kerrigan sheet I put in, and think a bit about it.

I meant dumbed down, full power queen of blades would just result in infested ponies and even Sun goddess celestia could not hold off the swarm. With unicorns infested, magic could be spread throughout the swarm, and pegasi could let zerglings fly. Mixing the 2 would result in alicorns, probably somewhere around Fallout: Equestria levels of power. Not all that powerful, but numbers have advantages.

Kerrigan dies if she gets shot a lot. So there's that. Living things are weak to getting pierced by metal objects and stuff.

And by Dumb Down I meant you could just take it out. Any abilities too powerful. Bag of Spilling Style.

Still, though, that really shouldn't be necessary. If a character is less scrappy protagonist and more demigod, there might be something wrong. Gordon Freeman is a perfect example of a good character for this sort of thing; he's a badass, but he's a Badass Normal, not a psyker that commands an army of MOAR BIOMASS Tyranid lookalikes.

For a same-universe example, do you understand why playing Gordon Freeman is a good idea while playing the G-Man is not? The more powerful your characters are, the more prone they (you) are to either curbstomping everything or attempting massive asspulls. I don't have a problem with OP PCs, mind, I have a problem with them starting out that way and not being more-or-less equal in power. It's like running a D&D campaign with a party of level 5 characters and adding a new player in with a level 20 character. It's not fun, and it either means that the OP PC curbstomps everything, or the GM ups the difficulty to the point where the non-OP characters are doomed, or the GM applies selective difficulty to the OP character, in which case their player probably whines about being singled out.

Just a thought.

I addressed the whole OP thing in the first post, you can do whatever character you like, as long as their massive strength is balanced with horrendous disadvantages.

Though Flying Dice does have a good point. There was a tree character I rejected earlier on because, honestly, it's not fun playing as a tree even if it is super powerful.

The thing about the Thing, though, is that there's ak oat no disadvantages. The only way to kill it is to burn it to ash, and it can infect with a touch, blah blah horrorgasm. Besides, I'd soon begin to act like a douche if I were playing it. So yeah.
