Head a little further out, continue to gather up wood, stones, food, and anything else of value
You journey further into the forest collecting loose logs and stones. You come across food every now and again but cannot transport it with the wood and stone so you are forced to make a second trip for that. While travelling you finally start to notice wild-life. They appear to be the same as from where you are from. Yet there is still something odd about them. Nothing to obvious but the way they move seems too graceful. Maybe it’s the effect of the forest? [You find 2 Large Rocks, 3 Logs, 2 Rations]
Begin looking for suitable building material for a forge and/or a shelter.
You quickly abandon finding enough material for a forge given as you’re in a forest. While you find several large rocks you doubt there are enough in this area to allow you to forge. Perhaps moving on in search of more materials would be a better idea?
You are much luckier with the shelther idea as you find several loose logs and, if you had a proper tool, the trees themselves are readily available. [You find 4 logs, and2 large rocks]
Search for birds to pluck for feathers, or even just feathers on the ground to fletch with.
You begin your searching within base-camp however it appears that the ward has ‘protected’ the camp from feathers… So you begin searching outside the warded area and find plenty of feathers. However most of them are worthless for fletching. For now you will be forced to use the small amount of suitable feathers. [You find 3 large feathers]
Summon Familiar, investigate further effects on what the ward is having (Including the fire) Maybe meditate to examine the effect/ Ask Archimedes if he arrives
You attempt to summon a familiar however the attempted outburst of magic is… underwhelming. Luckily it appears to have been so small that the trees do not attempt to steal the energy.
You decide to instead investigate the effects of the ward. As planned it is keeping out wildlife of all sorts. Upon close examination though trees outside of it’s range seem to have leaned closer to it as if trying to feed upon the magic. The logs in the fire are still burning without any extra fuel. As you investigate this you notice that they are using the wards magic to fuel their combustion. This will certainly lower the wards life-span though by how much you are unsure. [You have learned more about the un-named forest and your Basecamp.]
Your actions for the day have netted several building materials and further explained the mystery of this forest. What exactly these occurances mean you are not sure however that may be a question you can answer in the night. Or perhaps you should fortify your defences in case the ward dies in the night. Either way you each eat a small amount of rations and then think about one thing: What do you do now?[Note: Health regenerates automatically at a rate of 1 per turn. Located somewhere within an un-named forest whose trees seem to crave magic. It contains all four of our heroes and yet it only contains a fire which feeds on the ward protecting this place for fuel as of now. Currently it is protected by a basic ward against wild-life. It is unknown how long it will last however the fire seems to be draining the ward slightly.
Rations: While preventing starvation the food you’ve found here has slight medicinal properties healing 3 health per meal.
