If there is no undead now, does that mean my map will never have them?

I'm on terrifying, but it's not reanimating and has no undead.  Also, no necro tower around.

Does this mean I will never experience undead or zombies on this map?

There might be undead. Butcher something and see what happens. If no skins animate themselves to murder your tanners, you should be fine.

If there's any sort of evil rain/cloud, you might have undead created in that form.
