With your destination chosen, your crew gathered, and your ship prepared, you're ready to depart and found your new colony. For The motherland, For honor and glory, but most importantly to the riches and fame that will surely await you. The voyage is long and dangerous, and twice you were swept of course by a devestating storm. Over mountains and dales you flew, passing craggs and magnificent waterfalls, before crossing the great ocean and descending on your new home.

The island is covered by a gloomy and baleful mist, and dominated by the imposing peak of the volcano. Few plants manage to live here, but the fish from the surrounding coral reefs should be plentifull. After touring round the island for a few minutes, the Zeppelin finally touches down on a small beach on the South of the island. A small forest is seen towards the east, while a small stream plunges of the cliffs a short distance to the West. The Zeppelin's crew rapidly unloads the cargo, while the captain, visibly uneasy, whiches you luck, and tells you that the first supply convoy should arrive next month.

Seriously, set up shelter near the beach, and start scouting the immediate area.  Some others can start cutting down trees.

cut down a hundred tree ( if too much then lower it down too 50 )) begin building of temporary shelter then begin farms: try too make a early power source using the steam. after words begin wood works( it think that's what there called :P) and if possible  send our engineer to help with are temporary  households. geologist will scout the area for a good mine/ quarry location. have the overseer begin writing some letter to the mountain homes for more supply's. also if possible send the remaining  pop to  make a quarry: start farming and others make build a zeppelin dock in a ratio of 2;1;2. i also forgot about are selves: begin construction of the water wheel.
and the Ploghistonist does what ever the "Ploghistonist" does ( begin plans of "noble room")

also i call dibs on the overseer:

elfish overseer of  beautiful plants bureaucracy. and if  someone doesn't look close enough she could pass as a human.

Declare the unknown specialist to be a demonoligist! Or a poet. Whichever works.

Send 15 plebs off to the forest that is hopefully not infested with maddening beasts.
Send 15 off to quarry some rocks.
Send 5 plebs and 5 soldiers in pairs to scout the island.
Get our geologist to study the nearby landscape for nearby materials.
The engi ought'a go and design plans for a tenement, allowing us to house the plebs for a cheaper cost. Who cares if they have to deal with overcrowding and a slight infestation of possessed vermin?

Right.

Send the overseer and 40 plebs off to chop some wood.
 
Send the Geologist with one soldier as a escort (and possible sacrifice) to the North to look around.

Have the engineer draw up plans for a dock and as soon as 20 wood is chopped have him grab some plebs from the wood chopping detail to make it.

Have the 9 remaining soldiers start a watch on the area, three shifts, eight hours each, three soldiers each.

And I vote the last guy be a Scholar.

Have the last specialist be a physics/chemistry guy. That shoud come in handy!

Have the geologist look for ores; construct enough housing for everyone, and have a small group of soldiers scout the area, looking for a stream for water and a reliable power source.

Start constructing a mineshaft with everything that's needed, using the water wheel (to be constructed at the stream) as a power source.

Look into the possibility of steam power from sea water and geothermal energy.

So while we get resolve this quadruple stalemate, let me give you some background information. The numbers next to the forest are the aproximate number of trees. One tree doesn't equal one unit of wood thougg, often it is more. Wood, and much other resources needs to be processed before being usefull.
