Maybe. I don't know though, it would make it easier I suppose.
And easier to expand. If you added, say, an imp, you could give it a "flame" or "dark" ability without changing every entry affecting fire or evil. Maybe add more creature tags, like "summoned." Make undead and balrogs "dark" creatures and have the paladin's holy aura affect "dark" creatures.

A standard set of status effects would possibly be better- like blinding (anti ranged), silencing (anti magic), paralysis (anti melee), fatigue (turnskip), burn,poison,bleeding (damage per turn).
That's not much like what I'm suggesting, but it makes sense.

Heal isn't a ranged spell. It's a Radii attack meaning it only effects squares around the cleric.

Whoops, I did change that. My bad. See you guys if you find something like that tell me so I can fix it. I had them confused with Cure [Should I just combine cure and heal?] and Haste. Update in about ten minutes.
