We will definitely do another pass on the animals at some point, with pets / produce / breeding being 100 percent on the cards at this stage, though at this point the focus is random generation and the rafting update, which will round out the core features of the game pretty well before going on to do more detailed focused stuff. We are hoping to generate entire islands randomly with the option when we release the modding tools to allow the users to change the parameters to allow them to build tailored islands, without throwing away the ability to make hand crafted islands as they are currently, as some people still may be keen on something hand made, though I imagine most people will be keen on the replayability of a new island every time
As far as the rafting update, it will be a bit of a upgrade on the current build system and we would like to implement some sort of white water / curling waves (we already have waves just no white water as of yet) as well as a whole host of new things to do while at sea as well as a decent list of dangers, stuff like sharks, starvation, thirst are already in game so we might have to get a bit creative! Open to any suggestions you guys may have also! I think the biggest reason to knock these two updates out first is it gives the game a end goal rather than just existing on the island, sail your way home, which is really needed at this point. I think once that's all done we can start taking feature requests / update request from our alpha supporters, and implement the most popular ones.
