It reveals to me just how much I need to keep expanding into Italy, (I'm poor as fuck) but I like it.

Italy is one of the richest areas in the game. Go for it, I won't hold into any of my guarantees there if I still have them. Just don't annex Rome until 1650, the infamy reduction is too important to pass up.

Won't the Pope just turn up somewhere else if Rome gets annexed?

You make a good point; the Papal States won't come back without whoever annexed Rome giving in to the event, but I think that, at least if Rome's conqueror's is catholic, the Curia is still there.

If the papal states is annexed, and Rome isn't returned, a random theocracy will get the chance to become the next papal states, yes?

Sounds good. Question, though: I plan on going Protestant because the Pope hates my guts. Does waiting until 1650 actually help me, then?

No, sadly the Curia only applies to nations who stick with being Catholic.

Made a clearer map, plus Serbia. Colors changed a bit in Germany to be easily distinguished from the background.

Looks good, added to first post.

You didnt recolour LTU though :(

Also I realised you cant diploannex vassals of different religious groups :(

which totally got me thinking about how to implement a decision/event to force a vassal to change to their master's religion, but I dont think you guys would allow that anyway so its kind of a moot point :(

Huh, totally missed that. I guess this way we can still see the hilariously tiny rump state that is Lithuania.

Is anyone interested in a nonconsensual partition of Poland? Those were all the rage in reality, I'm sure we could pull it off. I don't really want all of Poland, but the Prussia region contains part of Poland in our particular game at the moment.

I'm game for more provinces.

Also, next time you recolor Germany, make the colors black, red, gold in descending order.

Recoloring the British Isles is hard.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It just might show a little.
