I don't recall myself complaining about your alliance with Karl at all. The only thing I complained about was everyone else ganging up.

Don't you mean my alliance with Burgundy, Muscowy & Scandinavia, all of which were public?

What does it matter what I use to mention it when you know what I mean?

Besides that, while you may have been allied with them, was Karl allied with them?

So that means that our alliance was obviously more legitimate than the lolalliancecascade everyone else was in, since ours was called in by the first combatant rather than a second.

If that sounds like a weak argument to you guys, well, then consider that the "public" alliance argument that Azthor used is just about as weak.

Besides that, while you may have been allied with them, was Karl allied with them?

An alliance between me and Burgundy and an alliance between me, Burgundy, Muscowy and Scandinavia are two different things that were refered to with difering opinions at different times, so yes, it does matter.

The alliance was very much public in that I had previously declared and stressed out multiple times that, were you to try another 4x1 on Burgundy, I'd join in with any allies I had.

Your current logic amounts to: we can form a large alliance to wage war on you, but you shouldn't because then we won't win. The horror!

Oh. Sorry, I see the mistake now.

I could now make an argument against the entire super alliance but I won't because I honestly don't care.

The alliance was very much public in that I had previously declared and stressed out multiple times that, were you to try another 4x1 on Burgundy, I'd join in with any allies I had.
I see no post on this thread and I do not recall you mentioning it at all in the IRC. Where did you mention it again?

Your current logic amounts to: we can form a large alliance to wage war on you, but you shouldn't because then we won't win. The horror!
And you're assuming I'm saying that, from where? I did not directly complain about your alliance at all this last page. You're making up sentences that I never used.

Also, let's not have this fight again.
Yes.

You are right in that it was never mentioned in this thread, but it was mentioned on the game chat in sessions 2 and 3 and on IRC in session 2.

IRC chat. It is certainly possible that it was another HRE player, but it was emphasized.

Oh. That must have been why I missed it then.

How does IRC chat banter from me that was half-hearted and only said 1 or 2 times 3 days ago matter for this argument here and now?

I didn't ask either Denmark or Muscovy to join in, but it's not like I was going to turn down the offer.
The reason why I joined is that Barbarossa gave me a CTA, and I didn't want the prestige hit for denying it nor did I want to go to war with you and Azthor.
Now that I think about it I could have probably just joined and immediately asked for a white peace.

Clarify this for me, please, because I can't really understand the wording. You're saying the reason you joined against the HREllyance is because you didn't want to lose prestige from a declined CTA?

I'd like to believe to the above is sufficiently self-explanatory as to the irony driving this argument.
