While I do prefer Europe, America is much more feasible than attacking HRE members. I will do the smart thing and leave them for the Russian Behemoth to deal with.

Let's try and be realistic with our claims. Beating Portugal, Castille, Denmark, England, Burgundy and Naples to South America, the Caribbean and Florida are all highly unlikely as one of the easternmost nations, even less so not being catholic and in a non-western tech group. And that is with Russia breathing down your necks. Can you afford to optimize your sliders, advisors and ideas for oversea tariffs under these circumstances?

That assumes that the HRE will remain one big happy ganking family. Burgundy and Austria are likely to be interested in forming the HRE, while Bavaria and Brandenburg probably want to form Germany.

Germany is a nice goal and all, but I'm perfectly fine not forming it.

Plus, with that last war, I'm pretty sure Burgundy is an enemy with the entire rest of the HRE-Serbia-Ottoman alliance anyway.

It is actually the Mamluks, the GH is going down hard. For the Timurids to be faring that well Timur must have had a long life.

I'm more interested in forming Prussia, actually. That country can be formed even without being emperor, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. And I'd be fine not even forming it, but I need to expand somewhere. Northern Germany is probably the place for me. I like to fulfil the imperial duties as Emperor, so I won't be just using it to screw everyone else over.
