Well, I think you guys are going to start catching up, with me anyway if not with GBR, once you start expanding into Africa and further.

Idk if you noticed, but even with the war last session GBR is still 1k income ahead of me, and 2k income ahead of the rest of you.

Anyway I'm planning on staying neutral next session. hopefully nobody gives me any reasons to go to war. or declares on me, for that matter :p

Because it is not like you are about to expand into India (which is alone worth 3000d+/turn )and  become the wealthiest nation in the game for the next century, right?

delhi will certainly be an obstacle. probably not insurmountable, but im sure ill get a tidy amount of WE and attrition from fighting them...

i dont think ill be going that way for a while though, to be honest.

Dev Diaries for EU4

was reading through some of these, thought i'd drop a link in here. who's up for an EU4 game on launch?

Sure. Although, I have to say I think I need to drop out now. A loss of interest for the time being and stagnating behind everyone else has left me with little faith in Illyria.

Illyria has only to seize the moment, good John. It's stronger than it has ever been. It simply lacks a leader to direct it to war with all of its neighbors. You could easily take part of Anatolia and head to north Africa and the middle east. But with no leader, Illyria shall soon fall to Austria and Russia, plus maybe Bavaria. All sliced up. Bad times.

I'm willing to bet Illyria is better than me and Barb at it's current state.

Also, I'll definitely slice up Illyria for Greece if John doesn't get back in. It's the best place for me to expand right now, and Greece with it's many ports will give me naval assets that I lack.

I'll be moving home tomorrow, since my uni term is finished.

My room at home isnt wired in, so my internet config is a little screwed up. if someone could come on mibbit a bit earlier and help me test configurations, that would be great, otherwise i can host on hamachi (or someone else can host without hamachi)

I don't believe I'll be able to show up, being with my relatives this weekend. It's possible, but probably not for the whole time. I'd like to show up long enough to declare war on Malacca, at least.

Considering that starting spontaneous expansions is just about the only way I'll stay relevant, that would indeed be a bad thing. For whatever reason the AI took part of the TO while I wasn't looking. I then conquered them entirely. For whatever reason the AI took part of Naples while I wasn't looking. I now own or have vassalized all of Italy. Time to get some Malacca, so that Brandenburg can into Asia.

Hopefully Xia or Dahan won't suddenly go "GERMAN DOGS!" and promptly occupy everything you own in Asia before you can get cores and build up more troops there.
