This is the thread for our Death and Taxes game in Europa Universalis 3.

We'll be playing the latest version of D&T (currently 8.7, subject to change) - with Divine Wind 5.1 (NOT 5.2)

1. Declare war on who you want.
a. Nobody is going to stop you stomping all over smaller countries, but players are encouraged to come to each others' defence if this happens
b. Defeated players will be able to rejoin
i. No grudges will be held. If the new nation has a reason to have one (eg DotF), thats fine.

2. Turn up AT LEAST HALF AN HOUR BEFOREHAND, for pregame prep. I'm not going to be waiting. For anyone.

3. No trashing your country.

4. Ingame agreements between players will not be enforced. Players who get screwed over by others are encouraged to let people know what's happened, and to hold a grudge.

5. Personal Unions. Those silly enough to get themselves PU'd to another player are PROHIBITED from using insults on their senior partner. You must use another way to get out of it. Junior partners will be forcibly inherited on the death of the monarch if 1) both nations are at peace 2) relations between the countries are 0 or higher 3) both the newly dead monarch and his successor have a DIP rating of 7 or higher. The senior partner must PM the GM if conditions for this are correct (ie when his current and heir both have 7+ DIP, BEFORE the current king dies), so that the rehost can go ahead if/when the king dies.

6. Vassalizations. Any player made vassal by another player MUST: give military access to whoever their liege asks, join any wars IF they are allied with their liege, unless their liege tells them not to. Player vassals are NOT required to make an alliance with their liege. If an alliance is entered into, the liege MUST enter any defensive wars of the vassal. Annexation requires all standard diplo-annex conditions, plus the annexee must agree to the annexation. The annexor must be at least five times the size of the annexee. The annexee may choose another nation to play.

7. Peace Deals.
Peacing a player nation through an AI nation is forbidden.
An alliances demands may not exceed a warscore of 100% on any single player.
Releasing of nations counts as double the warscore.
At any point either side can ask for the other side's suggested peace. If this is acceptable to the asker, the war must be terminated ASAP (no further war action can be taken other than sieging the required provinces)
Following a surrender further hostilities between the parties must be avoided and the war must be ended as soon as possible. Once a proposal has been accepted it can no longer be withdrawn from either side and the war is over.
If you are the war leader and you surrender while your allies have not done so, the war leader will/can be edited manually to enable you to peace out. (I would prefer if people could try to avoid situations where edits are needed, by declaring war seperately).

I've never played a multiplayer EU3 game before (but I have watched an LP of it), and I'm not very experienced with vanilla EU3 and D&T (I play MEIOU 97% of the time). Can I still join?

If I get in/if I decide to join, I think I'll take Bavaria, unless somebody has a serious problem with that.
