Year 126, Week 6 (Midpring, The Oak)
Oku Ura is waxing
Aveanaye is empty

Oh come on! Why'd your miner have to go on break just now?! And the dwarves are going to eat before the dining room is completed, it seems. Some are feeding the animals, at least.

Your mason produces five granite tables, and your carpenter five hollow birch chairs. The smith refines two more units of coal. The farmer gets 3 more garlicnut and crow berries.

The military stands guard against the scarborn wolf, which gets some company.

Hm, you wonder if you can get some alcohol to freeze and use that for construction? Can't see anything in the help about that idea...

Predominant thought: Complained about the lack of tables and chairs recently.

"Civilian dwarves will infrequently go on breaks to sort out their own matters. While you can order them back to work, doing so can leave them angry, unmotivated, and/or unhappy in otherwise, depending on their personality."

Install chairs and tables in a temporary location.
Build 5 more chairs and 5 more tables.
Wait for miner to get off of his break, continue dining room construction.

Skim through help to see if/how we'll get more dwarves.

Do we have nesting animals? If yes, make some nesting boxes for them.

Install chairs and tables in a temporary location.
Build 5 more chairs and 5 more tables.
Wait for miner to get off of his break, continue dining room construction.
We seem to have a dining room already, why can't we put them there. Even if it's only half dug out, it should suffice.

If the mason/carpenter have at any point nothing to do, they shall make cabinets and other things for the dwarves to put their stuff in. Also some doors, which shall be placed 4-5 tiles inside the entrance.

Nest boxes, furniture, digging deeper, watching out for scarborn wolves, and looking how we get more dwarves... sound good?

Year 126, Week 7 (Midspring, The Oak)
Oku Ura is full
Aveanaye is waxing

Your miner digs farther downwards through the marble, getting 6 marble, 3 granite and 3 rough cat's eye gems. Your smith refines more coal. You create 5 more chairs and tables, and queue up more furniture for all sorts of purposes - nest boxes, cabinets, and doors. The remaining dwarves build the tables and chairs in your dining room, then go off to drink.

A quick check shows that Onol Paintposts uses an iron warhammer.

Predominant thought: Had to drink directly from a barrel recently.

"Dwarves dislike drinking from barrels directly. Whenever possible, they will try to fill mugs that they then bring to a dining room, or fill up waterskins in order to have drinks during long stints of work."

Que up a few mugs. Then smelt the silver down into bars, and hope that silver still makes the best hammers. Also, what weapon does our sublieutenant carry?

Pretty sure it won't. A metal reinforced warhammer with a silver core might be a good thing.

Also, examine our current defenses. Are our soldiers mainly left or right handed. That determines the directions our stairwells should turn in. ((Righthanded should be clockwise, if the enemy is coming from above. Counterclockwise if from below.))

Let's make the inquiry be 'what equipment does our military use?', so we do not have to wait a multitude of turns to learn the loadouts of our military.
