Futur developement

More tilesets. (Cla, JollyBastion, Vherid)
More optional modifications. (a slippery slope)
More utilities. (I wouldnt even know which ones)
More standardization (even less rocks/gems/stuff)
More bugfixes (whatever is left)
More balancing (for example include Modest Bodies with better joints)
Something else, I let you know in the comments.

Trying out the Accelerated mod (the basic one, not the Modest), but I'm kinda hampered by an odd bug. My horse and buffalo are starving to death, while devouring half the map's grass.

How experienced are you with standard Vanilla dwarffortress?  That sounds more or less like vanilla grazing behavior to me; a lot of mods (incl. modest mod) decrease the amount of grass they need to eat.

Its not a bug, its a feature. A vanilla DF feature, and while unbalanced maybe, I will not change it, since rebalancing is part of the modest mod.

Ok, but I've never had a single grazing horse starve to death while constantly eating, unless Lazy Newb Pack mods that to be easier (was so long I played without LNP that I don't remember if pure vanilla behaviour was different).

Will test some more, and perhaps check out the Modest version then.

I think Horses will only starve if you have other animals like buffalo eating everything so the horses get nothing, they eat crazy amounts and i just tend to butcher them when they get to hungry or even at the very start.

Accelerated Modest DF V1.1.rar.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

DFFD doesn't like me. I can't seem to get things downloaded from it. Strange, because I can from Mediafire or other hosting sites. :(

That's from falconne's dwarfmonitor plugin. Those refer to happiness levels.

Getting a weird error in Win8-64bit when launching utilities. After hitting Run Program, it gives me an Unhandled Exception error, "Object variable or With block variable not set." It does this in both versions of the launcher (with and without modest) and no matter what utility I try to launch.  I had no problems launching utilities from the Lazy Newb GUI.  Thanks for the help!

Edit: Figured it out.  Was going to delete this, but in case anyone else ever runs into the same problem, click Reset List on the Utilities tab.  Seems to have fixed everything.

This is a bug in the version of the GUI this mod is using, it's been fixed in the latest version used in the Lazy Newb Pack but this pack hasn't been updated yet.

I killed alot of Unkown beasts in my fort now and they pile up at the butchers...

I have LOTS of "Unknown X creature substance"... is this because Meat is modded?

I expected to get lots of stuff to make food from those beasts.

Hey all,

Love this mod and have always played it (mainly since I'm running it under WINE and the reduced CPU load is welcome).  My most recent fort was going well but is now sort of falling to shambles.  Either the influx of just 10 dwarfs put it over the edge, or maybe it has something to do with the mod.  I'm scrambling to make enough food for drink and feeding people, where before I had just 4 farmers and had 180 drink.  Now I can't plant and harvest fast enough to even feed people.  I feel like I'm missing something...

Second questions, and more likely to be related to this mod in particular, is that dorfs won't use coffers to store things in their rooms.  In the wiki it says coffers can be used for personal items, but there was clothing strewn around the map until I built cabinets and placed them in the rooms.  I wanted to save on wood and not use chests, so I thought coffers would be nice.  Nope... sticking to rock cabinets for now :\

Thanks,
AOC

coffers are for other goods that dwarves claim when they think they are entitled to valueables (gems, crafts, etc.) cabinets are for clothing, most people use cabinets or "dressers" to store their clothing in RL not a treasure chest :P (but not uncommon as I do have a chest for my extra clothes)

I too have the problem with starving horses. Gave each a huge pasture and both starved to death. I played vanilla and that hasn't happened to me before.

Hi, not sure if this is already known, but I tried to launch Quickfort with Accelerated Dwarf Fortress 1.1. and got a NullPointerException. Here's my stack trace:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Although it doesn't seem to be very enlightening.

The exception is thrown whenever I try to launch any of the utility programs from the "Utility" tab, both with the "Run program" button and with a double click.
